12 Of The Most Iconic Swords In Fiction

ahem #11:
Stormbringer is the name of the infamous black sword featured in a number of fantasy stories by the author Michael Moorcock. Created by the forces of Chaos, it is described as a huge, black sword covered with strange runes carved deep into its blade. It is wielded by the doomed albino emperor Elric of Melniboné.

And... #12 (how could I forget forget this?)
Excalibur is the legendary sword of King Arthur, sometimes
attributed with magical powers or associated with the rightful sovereignty of Great Britain. Sometimes Excalibur and the Sword in the Stone (the proof of Arthur's lineage) are said to be the same weapon, but in most versions they are considered separate. The sword was associated with the Arthurian legend very early. In Welsh, the sword is called Caledfwlch; in Cornish, the sword is called Calesvol.

Loved the Elric stories. Also Fred Saberhagen's Book of Swords series, but they are not as listworthy. But what about the Sword of Shannara, though.....
