I hear you. But you are factually incorrect. The capital gains tax is incorporated in the income tax as is the "gift" tax and the "death tax", which I believe has been repealed. It is income to someone that is taxed. The Payroll Tax IS the income tax. It is just withheld from your pay.
"Home improvement" and "school taxes" are functions of the Property Tax, not stand alone taxes. And "road use tax" is the same as Gasoline (or fuel) tax.
I agree we are taxed too much. But accurate criticisms probably are more credible.
