Mark Meadows: Never forget 'most remarkable thing' Democrats did during Mueller testimony

Rep. Mark Meadows, a top supporter of President Trump, sounded off on Twitter about the Democrats' behavior during the Wednesday testimony of former special counsel Robert Mueller.

"They misled, misdirected and misrepresented—but never forget perhaps the most remarkable thing Democrats did during the Mueller hearing: They advocated the idea that a person is guilty unless a prosecutor exonerates them. That is NOT our standard in America. It can never be so," the House Freedom Caucus' chairman said in a tweet Friday.

Meadows, who was present for Mueller's Wednesday morning testimony with the House Judiciary Committee, seated directly behind Mueller as he answered questions, dashed to the White House before the start of the second hearing of the day.

As the House Intelligence Committee hearing was about to get underway, Meadows was seen at the White House, as was House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.

Early media reports suggested Mueller's halting performance was likely not what the Democrats had hoped for as a growing sect in the caucus push for an impeachment inquiry. Although Mueller said Trump was not exonerated by his investigation, the former special counsel declined to stray far from the findings in his report, which did not determine that the president's campaign conspired with the Russians nor did it find sufficient evidence for obstruction of justice.

Meadows seized on the lack of bombshell revelations from the hearing, despite Democrats hyping it up as being bad news for Trump and some members making grand statements about...

NEW TWIST: Ilhan Omar Splits With Husband, Moves to Luxurious Apartment

There is a real good chance that this is not her luxury apartment.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has reportedly split with her husband, the father of her three children, and has moved to a luxurious penthouse apartment in one of Minneapolis’s trendiest neighborhoods.

The Daily Mail reports that Omar has separated from her husband, Ahmed Hirsi, marking another twist in the life of a woman who allegedly previously married her own brother to skirt United States immigration laws and aid in his ability to move to the United States.

Leftist congresswoman Ilhan Omar and her husband – the father of her three children – have split and are heading for their second divorce, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively.

The bust-up comes just as critics are demanding answers as to whether she married her own brother in a successful bid to get him into the United States.

Omar has now dumped her current husband Ahmed Hirsi – who she first married in a religious ceremony in 2002 and divorced in 2008 – and moved into a penthouse apartment in one of Minneapolis’s trendiest neighborhoods, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively.
Omar previously married Hirsi in a religious ceremony then separated from him. In the time she was separated from Hirsi, she allegedly married her biological brother to help him enter the United States.

According to The Daily Mail:
She first married Hirsi in an Islamic ceremony in 2002 when she was 19. Six years later, after two children, the couple said they had ‘reached an impasse in our life together,’ and divorced.

The following year Omar married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, a British citizen, just two weeks after he entered the United States. He has been identified as her brother by many media outlets, though due to a lack of records in their war-torn country of birth that has not been proven.
Omar has repeatedly ducked questions about the suspicious marriage to Elmi, who she was legally married to when she conceived her...

Jewish Model Says She Received Rape & Death Threats For Supporting Trump

Jewish model Elizabeth Pipko says she has received numerous rape and death threats over her support for President Trump.

Pipko is the face of the Jexodus Movement, which attempts to lure away Jewish voters who traditionally vote Democrat.

However, she has received a violent backlash for her political activism.

“I get a lot of death threats, rape threats and other things I never thought I’d receive,” Pipko told The Times of Israel. “I’m doing this for my people — not to sound cliché — for my parents and grandparents, who escaped to come to America so they wouldn’t have to worry about their children being faced with anti-Semitism”, she opened up.”

The Lovely Miss Pipko Needs A BodyGuard:

Similar to what Candace Owens is doing with the Blexit movement, Pipko is seeking to erode the 80% of Jews who traditionally vote Democrat.

The CEO Of Overstock Was A Spy For The FBI, Compelled To Have A Romantic Relationship With A Russian National, And Is Now Calling Out The FBI For The Soft Coup Against President Trump...

  • The CEO of Overstock.com says he provided the FBI with exculpatory information on Maria Butina, a Russian national who pleaded guilty to conspiring to work as a Russian agent.
  • Butina’s attorney is accusing the FBI and federal prosecutors of improperly withholding the exculpatory information.
  • Patrick Byrne, the Overstock executive, told Butina’s attorney and journalist Sara Carter that the FBI encouraged him to collect information on Butina.
A lawyer for Maria Butina is accusing federal prosecutors of withholding exculpatory information that the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company provided the FBI about the Russian national.

Robert Driscoll, the Butina lawyer, sent a letter Thursday to Justice Department officials requesting an investigation into possible misconduct by prosecutors and the FBI in handling information from Patrick Byrne, the CEO of online retailer Overstock.com.

Driscoll said in the letter, first reported by journalist Sara Carter, that Byrne has come forward to acknowledge he provided the FBI with information about Butina as part of a “non-standard arrangement” he had for years with the bureau.

Byrne told Driscoll and Carter that he is disclosing his contacts with the FBI because he is uneasy about the investigation and prosecution of Butina, who was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

“Those running the operation were not honest and in the end I realized I was being used in some sort of soft coup,” Byrne told Carter, a Fox News contributor.

“It was something I knew I had to do.”

Byrne first contacted the FBI about Butina after meeting her at a libertarian conference in July 2015. He said the FBI encouraged him to remain in contact with Butina, and to strike up a romantic relationship with her in order to gather information about her efforts to infiltrate conservative political groups in the U.S.

“During this time, [Byrne] stated he acted at the direction of the government and federal agents by, at their instruction, kindling a manipulative romantic relationship with...

10 Offbeat Stories You Might Have Missed This Week (7/27/19)

Now that the weekend is here, why not sit down, relax, and catch up on the stranger stories that hit the news cycle this week? If you missed the last offbeat list, you can read it here.We look at a couple of interesting rivalries this week, one over which state has more lakes and the other over research rights at Pompeii. We also answer a few lingering questions, such as “What happened to the submarine Minerve?” and “Where are all the paintings by Bob Ross?” There is also talk of an 800-year-old tradition and the most expensive sneakers in the world.

10Asterix In Britain

After a decade of study, the artifacts belonging to an ancient warrior dubbed a “real-life Asterix” are ready to go on display for the first time.English archaeologists announced the discovery made in West Sussex as being “the most elaborately equipped warrior grave ever found in England.”[1] Although we don’t know his name, the Iron Age soldier fought with the Gauls against Caesar, just like his comic book counterpart. He was either a Gaul himself who later fled to Britain or, alternatively, someone born in Eastern England who crossed the channel to help the Gauls in their fight against the Romans. His grave was first located in 2008 during excavations for a new housing project. However, it took scholars all this time to carefully conserve and analyze everything that was inside. Highlights include a bent sword, most of an intricate, ornate headdress, and a helmet with Celtic openwork crests that is “absolutely unique.” They will go on display at the Novium Museum in Chichester in January 2020.

9Where Are All The Happy Little Accidents?

Bob Ross might be one of the most prolific American painters of all time. He was responsible for an estimated 30,000 paintings during his lifetime, 1,143 of which he did for his PBS show The Joy of Painting. And yet you almost never see one. That led The New York Times to wonder where exactly all these artworks are, so they launched an investigation to find out. The answer is Herndon, Virginia.[2]This is because Herndon is the home of Bob Ross Inc., still run by his longtime business partner Annette Kowalski. Almost all of his paintings are stored carefully in a warehouse, but they are not for sale. In fact, the idea never even occurred to the Kowalskis because it would defeat the purpose that Bob Ross had as an artist. Instead of selling himself, he sold the idea that anybody could be an artist with a little practice and the willingness to make some happy little accidents. That being said, the company recently donated some paintings to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. There were four of them, including three versions of the same painting titled On A Clear Day. Bob Ross actually made three renditions of a painting for each episode of his television show. The first served as an initial reference, the second was the one you saw on TV, and the third was a more in-depth version he included in his books.

8Glow-In-The-Dark Shark

Researchers from Tulane University and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) have identified a new species of shark with an interesting characteristic: It glows in the dark. The diminutive shark is only 14 centimeters (5.5 in) long and comes from the Gulf of Mexico. Scientists initially spotted it in 2010 during an unrelated study on sperm whales. It remained a mystery until 2013, when it was again discovered by a NOAA researcher. Now, the animal has been described as an entirely new species called the American pocket shark. Its name is derived from the fact that it has a pocket gland near its front fins which secrets a bioluminescent fluid.[3]This is only the second specimen of pocket shark ever captured or recorded. The first one was found in the Pacific Ocean in 1979. They are different species that live in different oceans and, evidently, are incredibly rare. Scientists speculate that the shark uses its bioluminescent ability to attract prey, but we simply don’t know enough about this abstruse species to say anything with certainty.

7Minerve Located

On January 27, 1968, the French submarine Minerve disappeared while on its way to the naval base at Toulon, taking with it its entire crew of 52. Its fate remained a mystery for over five decades, until the wreck was finally found last week. When Minerve vanished, French authorities launched several search and rescue missions, including one supervised by explorer and conservationist Jacques Cousteau. Alas, no trace of the vessel was found, and the search was called off in February. This July, the government renewed its efforts to find the submarine, following added pressure from the families of the crew members. This time, it had the advantage of modern technology and high-tech equipment, and the search paid off. First located by private US company Ocean Infinity, Minerve was discovered 45 kilometers (27 mi) from Toulon, at a depth of 2,370 meters (7,775 ft).[4] Underwater drones first spotted the wreck in low sedimentation and observed the first three letters of the vessel’s name to confirm its identity.Examining the submarine might tell us why it sank in the first place. The captain of the boat, Lieutenant Andre Fauve, had thousands of hours experience on similar vessels, so human error was never considered a likely possibility. Some believe that extremely bad weather was to blame, while others opine that rudder problems caused the sub to sink and implode.

6Getting Rich Off Snail Mucus

There is a new booming industry in Thailand: “milking” snails. The secretion of these mollusks has become a must-have ingredient in cosmetics, particularly in Korea and the United States. As just one face cream can cost hundreds of dollars, in just three years, the Thai snail “milking” industry has become worth an estimated $314 million. To call the process “milking” is a delicate and positive misnomer. The substance is a slime called mucin, and there is no milking involved. The procedure is actually safe for the mollusks. It simply requires dripping some water over them, which encourages their glands to produce mucin. Not only that, but to keep them in good health and maintain the quality of the secretion, the snails are fed on grains and vegetables and only “milked” once every three weeks.[5]The Thai farmers benefit from the industry, as well. Before, they saw the snails as pests who damaged their crops. They would collect them and throw them in rivers. Now, they sell them for a profit.

Central American migrants are giving up on asylum because of this Trump policy — and going home

A report from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, shows that many Central Americans who arrived at the U.S.-Mexico border seeking asylum are giving up and going back to their home countries.

A reporter from the Texas Tribune asked how many of the Central American migrants at the migrant processing facility in Mexico were giving up on their asylum applications – nearly all of them indicated they were throwing in the towel.

The Tribune attributed the reversals from migrants to the policy of the Trump administration to make asylum-seekers stay in Mexico while their application was being processed.

One migrant told the Tribune that conditions in Mexico were actually more dangerous than those he left in Honduras because he didn't know anyone in Mexico who would help him.

"We're afraid and we want to go home, even though we're scared to return to our country," said Cristian Urquiza. "If Honduras is dangerous, Mexico is worse. It's more dangerous."

But not all were giving up.

Those escaping the turmoil in Venezuela and Cuba were among the migrants who were not giving up.

"Many of us have lost everything," said Cuban migrant Geovanys Garcia.

"If we returned to Cuba, we could run into trouble. Lose everything. We could end up in prison. We could get fined. Our only option is to stay and not to go back," he explained.

"If we left for Cuba, how could we ever get back here?" Garcia asked.

On Friday, the president announced that he had reached an agreement with the government of Guatemala to help keep asylum-seekers in that country instead of taking the dangerous trek through Mexico towards the U.S. border.

Supreme Court Allows Trump Administration to Use Pentagon Funds for Border Wall

The Supreme Court ruled on July 26 that President Donald Trump can use $2.5 billion in Department of Defense funding to build a portion of the wall along the southern border.

Touting the 5-4 ruling as a victory for his administration, Trump wrote on Twitter that it was a “big VICTORY on the Wall.”

“The United States Supreme Court overturns lower court injunction, allows Southern Border Wall to proceed. Big WIN for Border Security and the Rule of Law!” he wrote.
Wow! Big VICTORY on the Wall. The United States Supreme Court overturns lower court injunction, allows Southern Border Wall to proceed. Big WIN for Border Security and the Rule of Law!

All the Republican-nominated justices voted in favor of allowing the spending, and all the Democratic-appointed justices dissented except, and Justice Stephen Breyer said he would have allowed preliminary planning but disagreed with funding.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the victory clears the way for the Trump administration to build 100 extra miles of border wall in New Mexico, Arizona, and California.

Namely, the Supreme Court lifted orders by a federal judge in California and the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco, which barred the White House from using the Defense Department’s funds for...

White professor sues black university for racial discrimination

FOX NEWS - A white professor at a historically black university in Alabama has filed a federal lawsuit against the school for age and racial discrimination after he claims they have denied him the salary he deserves, despite his tenure.

Marshall Burns, a 73-year-old physics professor at Tuskegee University, alleges the school pays younger employees at least $18,000 to $30,000 more than him, although his professorship spans over four decades.

Burns began his career at Tuskegee University in 1976 as an assistant professor, according to court documents—being promoted to a full-time position in 1980. The physics professor wrote a physics textbook—recognized by the Alabama state legislature, helped found the university’s first physics major, and lobbied for additional university funding.

Burns claims he earns $60,500 a year, despite requesting a raise at least 12 times. His alleged salary is at the same pay grade as associate professor salaries, while his 12-page lawsuit says teachers of African and Asian descent are earning more than Burns, who...

Mike Lindell of My Pillow Considering a Run Against Ilhan Omar in Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District

Mike Lindell is reportedly considering a run against the Somali socialist.

Freshman legislator Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has quickly emerged as one of the nation’s most reviled lawmakers after making a cacophony of anti-Semitic, anti-white and anti-American comments while serving in Congress. Mike Lindell, better known as the My Pillow inventor, is considering a challenge against her next year.

Lindell confirmed that he will be intimately involved in the effort to turn Minnesota red next year, and failed to rule out a potential Congressional run against Omar during an appearance on the Sara Carter show earlier this month.

“There’s things going on you don’t even see,” he said. “And I will tell you this, I’m going to do so much in Minnesota over the next year and a half, you won’t even see any blue.”

“I just want the people to get to know the good things that are going on,” Lindell added, noting that he intends to tout the economic progress made by the Trump administration to the voters across the North Star State.

Lindell said that he believes that run for Congressional office may be in store for him in the future, if it’s what God wants him to do.

“I always say, I’ve been asked that a million times and, you know what, if I prayed about it and God had me go that direction, I would do it in a heartbeat,” he said.

Lindell’s story is the American dream personified, as he has overcome significant hurdles to become one of the most beloved and recognizable corporate pitchmen in...

Rep. Jordan: If the FBI can illegally spy on a presidential campaign, ‘imagine what they can do to you’

The ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee noted Wednesday following testimony of former special counsel Robert Mueller that the FBI used a massive double standard during its probe of the Trump campaign, focusing on a false narrative of ‘Russian collusion’ instead of legitimate attempts to manipulate the 2016 election by the campaign of Hillary Clinton.

“If they can do this to the President of the United States. If they can go spy on two people, two Americans associated on his campaign based on this idea that there was some conspiracy which know now is completely false, if they can do this to the President, imagine what they can do to you and I?” Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said during a Fox News interview.

“For Bob Mueller not even to look at that or answer any questions about that, not even want to look at that, that’s a big concern.”

If the FBI can spy on a presidential campaign, imagine what they can do to you.

That's exactly why Attorney General Barr is getting to the bottom of how the collusion delusion started.

During the interview, Jordan noted that Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz is finalizing a report that contains details of a lengthy investigation into how the FBI’s probe of the 2016 Trump campaign began.

Some analysts have speculated that the report will highlight abuses of the FISA court and warrant authority during the Obama administration when the FBI was...

ILLEGAL ALIEN CHARGED WITH SEXUALLY ABUSING CHILD IN ALABAMA

BOAZ, AL (WAAY) – A man discovered to be in the country illegally was arrested in Boaz and charged with sexually abusing a child.

On Thursday, July 18, Boaz Police arrested Felipe Juan Miguel, 25, who was living in Boaz. He was arrested around 8 or 9 p.m.

According to Boaz Police Chief Josh Gaskin, the victim was known to Miguel, but for the sake of the victim’s privacy, he could not disclose how they knew each other.

Based on information gathered during the investigation so far, Boaz Police said that Miguel inappropriately touched the victim. Investigators are working to determine when the alleged abuse initially began.

After conducting interviews through translators, investigators determined that Miguel had only been in the United States for three months and that he came from Guatemala illegally.

Gaskin said as of Sunday evening, Miguel is in the Marshall County Jail and is...
