A History Lesson Is Impossible Without History....
Not just history. Physics, mathematics, even poetry to prose. Then, of course, to ideas... simple to complex.
It's... not about you. Your feelings mean less than nothing. Even when it involves you, maybe more so. Less so? :p Besides, if it doesn't hurt, you don't grow, learn.
What hurts my feelings is that I can't ever know it all, or even put very much of it all together. Even the best fail, frequently. Actually, the more you do, and can do, the more you will fail. Bleh. I am beginning to think humility is the true lesson, if you are ever ready for it.

The guy on the right in the dark jacket is Armstrong Custer. The one in the light jacket is a West Point classmate he just captured.
I thought that was him but did not research it. Thanks. Did not know the story though.
