Trump’s Citizenship Question Isn’t Controversial. Obama Deleting It Should’ve Been.

President Trump’s citizenship question on the upcoming U.S. census is, contrary to popular opinion, the norm for the decennial survey.

The Left has responded typically, with accusations of racism. The question of nationality, they claim, is a danger to immigrants.
There has also been no shortage of confusion as to whether President Donald Trump would go forward with its addition. Trump’s statements appear to contradict news reports that his administration dropped its plan to ask the question after a Supreme Court ruling.
The planned citizenship question asks: “Is this person a citizen of the United States?”
The political left’s dominant view is that the question could serve to marginalize immigrants or non-white Americans.
But the framing implies Trump is the first U.S. President to include a question on citizenship, when in fact Trump is simply following the established and understandable tradition of asking those who fill out the form if they’re actually Americans.NPR, quoting the Urban Institute, says the census threatens to put “more than 4 million people at risk of being undocumented.” The headline warns the addition of the question could lead to “worst undercount of black, Latinx people in 30 years.”
The charge against Trump is one that demands reframing – Obama was the first to not include a question on citizenship, naturalization, or nativity in almost 200 years. The Trump administration is simply undoing Obama’s 8-year effort to distort the status quo.

Detroit festival is charging "non-POC" attendees twice the ticket price
If you are wondering how such blatant racism can be justified, according to their own ticket sale website, their logic is as follows:
Why do we have POC(People of color) [sic] and NonPOC(White People) [sic] tickets? I'm glad you asked! Equality means treating everyone the same. Equity is insuring everyone has what they need to be successful[.]
Ignoring the total irony of using the word "equality" to rationalize charging different prices based on race, the term "equity" as used is a trait, not an action one can impose.
The race-based price was being discussed heavily on social media yesterday. Critics pointed out that those at Afrofuture Youth were so radicalized in modern intersectionality that they are attempting to use racism as a tool to fight...racism. Nor do the event creators see it as the regressive act that it is despite being "woke."
Tiny Jag, a biracial rapper based in Detroit, who was initially excited to perform at the Afrofuture, pulled out of the festival yesterday after learning about the price discrimination. In an interview with Metro Times, she says she found out about the racial pay model only when a white friend sent her a screenshot of the ticket sales. Graham says:
Tommy Robinson, embattled hero
The hero Tommy Robinson has been reconvicted of contempt of court, after his previous conviction was overturned and he was released from prison, but the door was left open for the attorney general to relitigate if he so chose. He duly did, leading to Robinson's trial at the Old Bailey on July 5.
Robinson's lawyer, Richard Furlong, said Robinson was being convicted for what he is, not for what he did. What he did, that so offended the elite, was stand up for the victims of child abuse. What kind of a sick society defends child rapists and persecutes someone who wants justice for cruelly raped little English girls?
According to Robert Spencer (Jihad Watch, 4 July 2019), there were approximately 6,850 victims of organized child sexual exploitation in the U.K. in 2015. That's at least 18 girls a day in just one year. For exposing this ghastly crime, Robinson was imprisoned for 2.5 months in solitary confinement, not held in his rightful category, but moved to a Category C prison with the highest number of Muslim inmates, subjected to mental torture and constant threats and abuse, and had all his rights denied "in the interest of public safety." Now this fate looms again, and the government wants to once again put him in harm's way, in the hope that some Muslim inmate will dispatch this troublemaker.
What about being judged by one's peers? There were only two judges and no jury at Tommy's trial at the Old Bailey. One was Rt. Hon. Dame Victoria Sharp, DBE, president of the Queen's Bench Division of the High Court of England and Wales, the other Justice Warby, two executioners acting on behalf of the establishment. On July 4, President Trump Kept His Promise
Those who read me know that I spend much of my time chronicling the left’s descent into madness. Were I to write a book about the national tantrum that began election night, 2016, I already have my title. I’d call it The Charge of the Gadarene Swine. Unclean spirits have swept this herd over a cliff, and they thunder toward destruction.
For one day, that ominous rumble was drowned out by patriotic songs and the sound of American jets overhead. President Trump insisted on his patriotic salute to American servicemen. The crowds were diverse, and big (especially given the rain). The president was perfectly gracious, as we knew he’d be. It went off without a hitch, for those who saw it.
We really shouldn’t be shocked to watch every major network but Fox and One America News boycott the celebration of the Fourth of July. Nor to see activists 10 degrees to the left of the Democratic presidential candidates burning the American flag. Nor to learn that the cossetted gridiron bumbler Colin Kawpernick pressured Nike into yanking a “Betsy Ross” sneaker on the eve of our nation’s birthday.

The Left Rejects America
The left has never accepted that Barack Obama wasn’t made “President for Life.” If the day after Trump’s election, Obama had declared martial law, assumed that post-colonial dictator’s title, and sat himself on a throne flanked by peacock feathers, Harvard and CNN and Hollywood would have called it a “blow for democracy.” They’d have explained that a “Constitution written by slaveowners” surely can’t bind us today.
The left speaks with one, loud, threatening voice. (Dissenters such as Alan Dershowitz having already been ostracized.) It rejects the American heritage of limited government and ordered liberty. It’s ashamed of our history, from the first Western explorers through every moment until roughly 1965. It wants to paint every historical injustice in the shade of midnight evil.
As Nicholas Sandmann and his schoolmates learned at the hands of a media lynch mob, all the rules have changed. The power brokers and oligarchs who dominate our economy and media have declared that two plus two equals five. They said as much in the catalog of false, crude equations they have imposed on us like a catechism.
- Supporting national borders equals racism.
- Immigration facilities equal concentration camps.
- Racism equals Nazism.
- So Trump supporters equal Nazis.
- Verbal dissent equals violence.
- So assaulting your fellow Americans equals fighting actual Nazis. You know, as our soldiers did on D-Day.
Making America a Failed State
As I wrote a few days ago, President Trump seems baffled by all of this. He periodically decides that the Democrats really must be patriotic citizens. Then he offers some compromise, only to have it shoved right back in his face. Normal Americans are as flummoxed as the president. What are their neighbors and fellow citizens doing? Do they really hate our country so much that they would even deny it borders? That’s the most basic element of sovereignty.
