Biden Judicial Nom Argued for Outlawing Offensive Speech, Suggested ‘Microaggressions’ Can ‘Kill You’ Meet Maria Araujo Kahn, Biden’s nominee for the Second Circuit Court of Appeals

Meet Maria Araujo Kahn, Biden’s nominee for the Second Circuit Court of Appeals

Joe Biden’s nominee to fill a vacancy on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals is a longtime diversity trainer who has argued for curtailing the First Amendment and conducted training sessions that say "microaggressions" can "kill you."

Now an associate justice on the Connecticut State Supreme Court, Maria Araujo Kahn flirted in a 2020 opinion with criminalizing speech that offends "oppressed groups." Since 2013, she has also delivered at least a dozen diversity trainings and presentations to lawyers across the country, with titles like "Cultural Competence, Implicit Association and Racial Anxiety," according to her Senate Judiciary Questionnaire.

To prepare for one of those trainings, offered to graduates of Fordham Law School, participants were instructed to watch an animated video, "How Microaggressions Are Like Mosquito Bites," that depicts a man-sized mosquito telling a dark-hued college student to "try a less challenging major" and then sucking him dry.

"Some mosquitoes carry truly threatening diseases that can mess up your life for years," a voice-over says. "And other mosquitos carry strains that can even kill you."

The video then cuts to a mosquito holding a gun next to a dead body. "I felt threatened," the insect tells officers at the scene of the crime. "It looked like he was up to trouble, ok?"

Another clip depicts a black woman murdering several mosquitos with a flamethrower after they ask to touch her hair.

The revelations could prove a last minute stumbling block for Kahn, who in September sailed through the Senate judiciary committee with little pushback. A final vote on her nomination could come as soon as next week.

As a Second Circuit judge, Kahn would have a say in some of the influential judicial cases in the county—and would bring to the court a controversial view of the First Amendment.

In a 2020 opinion, Kahn criticized the "fighting words" exception to the First Amendment—which bans speech likely to spark violence—on the grounds that some groups are unlikely or unable to physically retaliate against insults. That means they "must endure a higher level of offensive speech before being afforded legal remedies," she wrote. Though Kahn is vague on how exactly she would reform First Amendment law, the opinion laments that bigots can "verbally assault certain oppressed groups"—especially women and the disabled—"without fear of criminal prosecution."

Kahn did not respond to a request for comment.

The Second Circuit’s docket is unusually high-profile, in part because of its jurisdiction over New York state, and often includes prominent free speech cases. In 2022, for example, the Second Circuit upheld a New York state official’s right to discourage banks from doing business with...

Biden Pentagon Orders Military Chaplains To Bless Putting Male Soldiers In Female Showers And Bedrooms

Why should a tank commander at Fort Hood have to deal with pronouns instead of training his troops to fight an enemy force?

The nation is worried about serious national security threats, including Chinese spy aircraft, but the U.S. Department of Defense seems pre-occupied with misplaced priorities. “Woke” policies are taking leftist ideologies to extremes with enforced compliance, even if it hurts the institution.

Since January 2021, Defense Department officials have expanded woke transgender mandates in significant ways. A comprehensive policy analysis titled “Biden Pentagon Quietly Expands Woke Transgender Policies in the Military,” summarized here, compares Joe Biden and Lloyd Austin directives to the 2016 transgender policies of Barack Obama and Ashton Carter.

As in the Obama years, the Biden/Austin policy fully embraces the idea that individuals can change their “sex assigned at birth to a different gender role.” Department of Defense Instruction 1300.28, updated on Dec. 20, 2022, has changed the official vocabulary of this pseudo-science, using the phrase “self-identified gender” instead of “preferred gender” throughout.

The DOD Instruction stipulates that if a person “self-identifies” as a person of the opposite sex, and if the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) changes a person’s bureaucratic “gender marker,” a man claiming to be a woman must be treated as a woman, and vice versa.

Military commanders, doctors and nurses, chaplains, and military men and women at all levels must endorse and act on this ideological belief or suffer career penalties if they don’t. Alleged “biases against transgender individuals,” which are prohibited, could include anything from “misgendering” people with the wrong pronouns to expressions of concern about medically questionable hormone treatments or surgeries for adults or military-dependent children.

Individuals who are confused about gender identity deserve compassionate counseling, competent medical care, and complete information about the serious risks and irreversible consequences of “gender-affirming” treatments that do not change biological sex. Instead, a self-diagnosis of gender dysphoria permits only one course of treatment, pushing the service member toward life-changing, often-irreversible transgender “transition,” without an...

Acute Psychosis After COVID-19 Vaccination

Alarming manuscripts report acute neuropsychiatric symptoms

Medical evidence demonstrating gene-coded SARS-CoV-2 Wuhan Institute of Virology Spike protein in the human brain after vaccination.

Unvaccinated patients have mentioned half-jokingly that COVID-19 vaccination in friends and family makes some of them “crazy.” While I have always brushed this off as fear driven vaccine ideology taking over common sense in some zealots, the building literature on neuropsychiatric symptoms is alarming.

There are now ~10 papers describing headache, fever, and a range of acute neuropsychiatric symptoms after both mRNA and adenoviral COVID-19 vaccination. The strong bias among editors and publishers has kept countless papers out of the mainstream medical media, hence one has to look far and wide to find information on the topic of vaccine safety. Borovina et al., from Croatia, described three cases of acute headache followed by psychosis.

Borovina T, Popović J, Mastelić T, Sučević Ercegovac M, Kustura L, Uglešić B, Glavina T. First Episode of Psychosis Following the COVID-19 Vaccination – A Case Series. Psychiatr Danub. 2022 Summer;34(2):377-380. doi: 10.24869/psyd.2022.377. PMID: 35772162.

All three patients required hospitalization with exhaustive diagnostic testing and medical treatment. One of the cases progressed to attempted suicide with a knife stabbing to the abdomen requiring emergency abdominal surgery. As a doctor, I am disturbed by medical evidence demonstrating gene-coded SARS-CoV-2 Wuhan Institute of Virology Spike protein in the human brain after vaccination. I wonder how many subtle changes go clinically unrecognized. Even if a small number are affected, the massive numbers who came forward make any “rare” complication a common issue to face in clinical practice.

In conclusion, we should not downplay or attempt to normalize neuropsychiatric symptoms after COVID-19 shots. Every case should be taken seriously. Suicides after Dec. 10, 2020, should be investigated and the brand, doses, and dates of vaccination should be recorded by health care personnel and noted by...

Trump Grand Juror Goes on Bizarre Media Blitz, Says Multiple Indictments Recommended

Before any indictments have been handed down, the foreman of the grand jury investigating election interference by former President Donald Trump and his allies in Georgia, is making the rounds in the media to discuss what was decided.

A special grand jury has recommended multiple indictments, according to the jury’s foreman, Emily Kohrs, 30, who appeared on CNN and MSNBC on Tuesday to talk about the case. Kohrs, an apparent Wicca enthusiast, has also spoken with The Associated Press, The New York Times and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“Can you imagine doing this for eight months and not coming out with a whole list” of recommended indictments, Kohrs told CNN. “It’s not a short list. It’s not.” The grand jury, according to Kohrs focused on Trump’s infamous phone call with Secretary Raffensperger.

“There may be some names on that list that you wouldn’t expect. But the big name that everyone keeps asking me about—I don’t think you will be shocked,” she said.

When asked specifically whether the jurors had recommended indicting Trump, Kohrs said, “You’re not going to be shocked. It’s not rocket science,” adding “it is not going to be some giant plot twist. You probably have a fair idea of what may be in there. I’m trying very hard to say that delicately.”

Kohrs said she couldn’t remember exactly how many indictments the special grand jury had recommended, but indicated that it would be more than twelve.

Asked by CNN’s Kate Bolduan whether the number of people was “more than a dozen,” Kohrs replied: “I believe so. That’s probably a good assumption.”

Portions of the grand jury’s final report, released last week, made it clear that the grand jury believed perjury charges were warranted for some witnesses. The foreperson’s identity was first revealed by The Associated Press. And earlier on Tuesday, Kohrs told The New York Times that the grand jury recommended multiple indictments, though she didn’t provide names.

The grand jury met for about seven months in Atlanta and heard testimony from 75 witnesses, including some of Trump’s closest advisers from his final weeks in the White House.

Kohrs called on Fulton County’s Democrat District Attorney Fani Willis to take “decisive action” and if nothing comes of it she’ll be “sad.”

“Personally, I hope to see her [Willis] take almost any kind of decisive action, to actually do something,” Kohrs said. “There are too many times in recent history that seem to me like someone has gotten called out for something that people had a problem with, and nothing...

DeSantis Swears Off All NBC Interviews Until Andrea Mitchell Issues Correction

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has sworn off all MSNBC and NBC interviews until MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell apologizes, his press secretary says.

DeSantis’ press secretary, Bryan Griffin, tweeted Wednesday that bookers and producers from MSNBC and NBC News seeking to schedule DeSantis on their shows will be sent a “standard response from our office until [Andrea Mitchell] apologizes and your track record improves.”

“I think we need to take a step back,” Griffin’s statement reads. “There will be no consideration of anything related to NBC Universal or its affiliates until and at least Andrea Mitchell corrects the blatant lie she made about the governor (‘[Governor DeSantis] says that slavery and the aftermath of slavery should not be taught to Florida schoolchildren’ — this is false), and NBC and its affiliates display a consistent track record of truthful reporting. Please feel free to pass this up and around the network.”

Mitchell claimed in a recent interview with Vice President Kamala Harris that DeSantis does not want “slavery and the aftermath of slavery” to be taught in Florida.

Mitchell gave a “postscript” to her show Wednesday afternoon and said she was “imprecise” after receiving criticism for her comments about DeSantis.

DeSantis in January rejected an AP course that included components of Critical Race Theory and queer theory, which the state of Florida banned from its school system. The governor has neither banned nor removed the study of black history or slavery from...
