Military medals and ribbons are BS for the past 40 years. I was in a Joint unit back in the 80's and early 90's. We had a LT who's job was to submit anybody that got deployed for medals and ribbons. I was there 12 years and got 9 complete rows of ribbons with another 5 medals and ribbons the next 9 years in the regular AF. I was a mediocre tech in JCSE and an exceptional tech in the regular AF. Rows of red-yellow-blue-white-green ribbons do not mean crap unless it is light blue with silver stars. Then you are a hero.
Regarding the home invasion: I just love a happy ending.
