Conservative Lawmakers Question Jeff Sessions’ Inaction on Clinton, Obama Scandals

Attorney General Jeff Sessions has grown accustomed to stormy congressional hearings, but when he goes before a House committee Tuesday, much of the grilling is likely to come from an unusual source—Republicans.

“Losing a presidential election as Hillary Clinton did does not render immunity from public scrutiny,” @RepMarkMeadows says.

Numerous Republicans have expressed frustrations about why the Justice Department, which Sessions runs, hasn’t delved into Russia-related scandals surrounding Hillary Clinton, the Democrats’ 2016 nominee for president, such as her campaign’s funding of the so-called Trump dossier and the Uranium One controversy. They also want the Justice Department to pursue questions about the Obama administration’s “unmasking” scandal.

Sessions will testify before the House Judiciary Committee.

“The American people are demanding that there be one standard of the law, not a double standard,” Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, a member of the Judiciary Committee, told The Daily Signal in a phone interview. “This is about the American people getting answers for things that happened in the Justice Department in 2016 and early 2017. We asked for a special counsel months ago and we know so much more now.”

Rep. Trent Franks, R-Ariz., a member of the committee, said there is more evidence of wrongdoing with regard to Clinton than with anything special counsel Robert Mueller has unearthed about President Donald Trump.

“I absolutely believe Attorney General Sessions should appoint a special counsel to investigate the Clintons and...

Media Forced To Acknowledge Bill Clinton’s Sex Crimes

The flood of recent sex-related accusations against Harvey Weinstein, Roy Moore and other prominent men has forced members of the establishment media to acknowledge former President Bill Clinton’s alleged sex crimes.

Paula Jones, Kathleen Wiley and Juanita Broaddrick have long accused Bill Clinton of sexual harassment or worse.

Broaddrick accused Clinton of violently raping her in an Arkansas hotel room while she was volunteering on his campaign for governor.

Wiley accused Clinton of making advances on her and groping her in the Oval Office — the same place where Clinton instructed a young intern, Monica Lewinsky, to perform oral sex on him.

Paula Jones accused Clinton of sexually harassing her at an Arkansas hotel room where she worked. After making several (unsuccessful) advances towards her, Jones said, Clinton “lowered his trousers and underwear, exposed his penis (which was erect) and told me to ‘kiss it.'”

All three alleged victims have long struggled to get the media to believe their stories. Now, as the Clintons are on their way out in Democratic Party politics, some journalists are ready to acknowledge the seriousness of the accusations against Bill Clinton.

MSNBC host Chris Hayes acknowledged Friday that it is “true that Democrats and the center left are overdue for a real reckoning with the allegations against [Bill Clinton].”

“I think it’s time to talk about Juanita Broaddrick,” Vice’s Eve Pyser wrote on Twitter. “I believe her.”

The Atlantic editor Caitlin Flanagan acknowledged that Bill Clinton’s defenders were “on the wrong side of history” in a piece on Monday titled, “Bill Clinton: A Reckoning.”

“The Democratic Party needs to make its own reckoning of the way it protected Bill Clinton,” Flanagan wrote, noting the way that prominent feminists leapt to Clinton’s defense.

New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg wrote a column for Tuesday’s paper titled, “I Believe Juanita.” Unlike Flanagan, Goldberg blamed conservatives for the fact that liberals didn’t believe Juanita Broaddrick. Liberals, Goldberg said, “should be wary of allegations that bubble up from the right-wing press.”

“It’s fair to conclude that because of Broaddrick’s allegations, Bill Clinton no longer has a place in decent society,” Goldberg conceded. “But we should remember that...

PURE EVIL: Fusion GPS Assisted Russia With Fake Dossier To Attempt To Kill A London Banker...

The target of a Fusion GPS opposition research investigation is accusing the firm, best known for its work on the Trump dossier, of assisting the Kremlin in its effort to have him “imprisoned and killed.”

The strong allegation comes from Bill Browder, a London-based banker who spearheaded the Magnitsky Act, a sanctions law vehemently opposed by the Russian government.

Browder made the allegation in response to the recent revelation that Fusion GPS and its founder Glenn Simpson compiled what he says is false information about him that was given to Yuri Chaika, Russia’s prosecutor general, and to Donald Trump Jr. during the infamous June 2016 Trump Tower meeting.

“If it is true that Glenn Simpson was supplying information about me to the Russian government, it’s far more serious than smear campaigning or Foreign Agents Registration Act violations,” said Browder, the head of Hermitage Capital.

“It would mean that Simpson was assisting the Putin regime in their plot to get me back to Russia to have me imprisoned and killed.”

It was previously known that the Washington, D.C-based Fusion GPS’s investigation of Browder was beneficial to the Russian government and its effort to reverse the Magnitsky Act. But it was revealed only last week that information Fusion collected on Browder was shared directly with Chaika, whose position is the Russian equivalent of...
