Salvation Army Imposes Racial Wokeness Within Church’s Ranks

The news is replete with examples of corporations and institutions going woke, from Google to Aunt Jemima. Unfortunately, now The Salvation Army is in danger of joining the ranks of Woke Inc.

In materials prepared for its more than 1.5 million members, The Salvation Army uses terms that echo both radical “anti-racism” jargon and the divisive teachings of critical race theory, which divides people into two camps: the oppressors and the oppressed.

And many of this trusted charitable organization’s donors and other supporters aren’t even aware of the change.

Despite being apolitical historically, The Salvation Army has begun to promote political and racial ideologies under the banner of its New York-based International Social Justice Commission since the protests and riots over George Floyd’s death in police custody began over a year ago.

The International Social Justice Commission works on issues involving human rights and justice, from human traffickers to asylum-seekers. But more recently, the commission, launched in 2007, is unhealthily mixing admirable human rights work with politically charged advocacy based in progressive politics.

As many Americans know, The Salvation Army, founded in London in 1865, is a church organized in an “army” structure encompassing “officers,” “soldiers,” and other volunteers. Collectively called Salvationists, they serve the organization and are inspired to perform good deeds on account of their Christian faith.

Early this year, Brian Peddle, general and international leader of The Salvation Army, announced an initiative called “Let’s Talk About Racism,” a curriculum with devotionals, videos, and other materials dedicated to helping Salvationists conduct “courageous conversations about...

Brutal Domestic Homicide Sparks Backlash Against Soros Prosecutor

George Soros And The Woman Brutally Murdered By A Hammer And His Money...

Biberaj is one of several defendant-friendly prosecutors serving in Virginia

A Virginia prosecutor backed by progressive billionaire George Soros is facing heat over her handling of domestic violence cases after an accused wife-beater out on bond allegedly murdered his wife with a hammer.

Authorities will charge Peter Lollobrigido for the brutal murder of his wife Regina Redman-Lollobrigido, who died in a hospital Sunday following a Sept. 19 assault. Lollobrigido was arrested on domestic assault charges in July, but he was released a week later on just $5,000 bond. Local critics fear his quick release is a tragic example of Loudoun County commonwealth's attorney Buta Biberaj's (D.) defendant-friendly approach.

Biberaj is one of several progressive prosecutors elected in Northern Virginia in 2019. Her campaign was powered in significant part by a $659,000 in-kind donation from Soros's Justice and Public Safety PAC. She was elected in 2019 alongside Steve Descano in Fairfax County and Parisa Dehghani-Tafti in Arlington County, who also benefited from large contributions from the reclusive financier.

Consistent with her progressive approach, Biberaj has characterized domestic violence as a health problem that warrants a social, not criminal, response. Biberaj has rankled local Democrats, and the Lollobrigido case will likely boost a budding campaign to remove her from office. An advocacy group called Virginians for Safe Communities is leading that effort.

"This case and many more like it in Loudoun and across the country are stark reminders of the danger these rogue prosecutors like Buta Biberaj pose to victims and law-abiding citizens," Virginians for Safe Communities president Sean Kennedy told the Washington Free Beacon. "These radical activists are betraying the oath they swore to protect victims, guard the public safety, and enforce the law. Instead, they put criminals first, and...

BLM Aftermath: Firefighters in Portland Will Now Be Equipped with Bulletproof Vests as Violent Crime Surges

In a city aflame with crime, firefighters will get new protection against being singed with the violence Democrats have been unable to control.

Firefighters in Portland, Oregon, will soon have the option of wearing bulletproof vests when responding to calls, according to Oregon Live.

The decision reflects a “changing landscape” in which firefighters often brave a gauntlet of hostility when they respond to a call, Portland Fire & Rescue spokesman Terry Foster said.

“First responders, as they go in, we can become targets,” said Alan Ferschweiler, president of the Portland Firefighters Association, according to KGW-TV.

The city will order 200 vests and is working out the rules governing when they are to be worn in addition to the heavy load of gear firefighters already wear, which includes their turnout gear, boots, a helmet, an air tank and other items.

Isaac McLennan, vice president of the Portland Fire Fighters’ Association, noted a 2018 case in which a man shot at first responders after allegedly setting a building on fire as a way to ambush them.

Since then, the city has changed for the worse.

Portland has suffered more than 870 shootings to date with 283 people injured and 46 others killed, Democrat Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler said Sept. 15, according to KGW-TV.

Through all of 2020, there were 891 shootings with 57 homicides, which was the highest number of killings since 1994. Portland has had 62 homicides so far in...
