Dying In Darkness: Biden STILL Won’t Publish Schedule, Visitor Logs, Nor Hold A Presser… Deletes White House Comments And Petitions Pages.

Six weeks into the Biden regime, Joe’s professed commitment to truth and transparency continues to wane, with the President of the United States failing to hold a press conference, refusing to publish his schedule, hiding visitor logs from the public, and deleting the White House pages for comments and public petitions. Cynics might say that democracy is currently dying in darkness.

In press secretary Jen Psaki’s first press briefing, she told reporters that the Biden presidency heralded a commitment “to bring transparency and truth back to the government; to share the truth, even when it’s hard to hear.”

But with the new guy installed, transparency in the White House has left… something to be desired.

The schedules of the President and Vice President are not currently publicly released. President Joe Biden hasn’t held a news conference of his own (only brief, tightly-controlled press availabilities with supporting acts), and the White House website does not list petitions submitted by citizens. Even the comment line is shut down.

If this had happened during President Trump’s time in office, the front pages would be littered with allegations of would-be dictatorship, and the windows of the Brady Press Briefing room would be fogged from the hot air of CNN’s self-righteous reporters.

‘Nah.’

The White House has confirmed that virtual visitor logs, which don’t account for a bulk of activity in a White House where many meetings are held virtually, will not be released along with in-person attendee lists.

“Virtual meetings will not be subject to release—in the same way that previous administrations didn’t release phone logs—but we’re planning on regularly releasing the attendee lists for in-person meetings at the White House,” a Biden official told Politico.

Biden has also stopped federal agencies explaining how regulations will be interpreted and applied.

On his first day in office, sleepy dictator Joe rescinded a Trump executive order requiring that agency guidance documents be published online and made searchable. Biden’s order reads:
“To tackle [COVID-19, economic recovery, racial justice, and climate change] effectively, executive departments and agencies (agencies) must be equipped with the flexibility to use robust regulatory action to address national priorities. This order revokes harmful policies and directives that threaten to frustrate the Federal Government’s ability to confront these problems, and empowers agencies to use appropriate regulatory tools to achieve these goals.”
Republican senators responded to the move in a letter:

“It is only fair that people, businesses and local governments know what is required of them. Transparency will not undermine the fight against “[COVID-19], economic recovery, racial justice, and climate change,” and it is simply wrong to believe that Americans are better off not knowing which and how Federal rules and regulations apply to them.”

Boston Public Schools Suspend Advanced Program Because Officials Were ‘Disturbed’ By The Number Of Asian And White Students

An advanced program for high-performing students at Boston Public Schools was suspended after district officials determined the program would not promote “antiracism” due to the disproportionate number of Asian and white students, GBH News reported.

The Advanced Work Classes program, which provides an accelerated academic curriculum for students in fourth through sixth grade, will be suspended for one year after Boston Public Schools’ superintendent Brenda Cassellius recommended the school focus on reforming its “antiracist” policies, according to GBH News.

“There’s been a lot of inequities that have been brought to the light in the pandemic that we have to address,” Cassellius said, according to GBH News. “There’s a lot of work we have to do in the district to be antiracist and have policies where all of our students have a fair shot at an equitable and excellent education.”

70% of students in the program were white and Asian, while nearly 80% of all Boston public schools are Hispanic and black, a detailed study found, according to GBH News. Cassellius said that five schools currently offer the program, and last fall, 453 students applied and 116 students enrolled, the outlet reported.

The results of the analysis disturbed school committee member Lorna Rivera, according to GBH News. Rivera reportedly noted that nearly 60% of fourth-graders in the program in one of the district’s schools were white even though most third-graders enrolled in the school are...

Gov. Ron DeSantis vows to crack down on Communist China stealing intellectual property from Florida

Awesome governor. Expect a landslide re-election in Florida for Governor DeSantis in 2022. Any Floridian who votes against DeSantis is nuts.

Gov. Ron DeSantis proposed new safeguards to crack down on China’s attempts to steal intellectual property from Florida.

“For far too long, the Communist Party of China and other foreign adversaries have been deliberate in their economic infiltration of other nations, the United States in particular,” DeSantis said Monday. “China has made it a mission to steal intellectual property from our businesses, our government, and our academic institutions — all to further fuel their global objectives.”
“We will place strategic safeguards against foreign influence by closing loopholes, strengthening institutional vetting, and applying common-sense protections for Florida schools, government entities, and more,” he added.

Florida Speaker of the House Chris Sprowls said he found evidence of China stealing intellectual property from universities, such as the University of Florida and the University of Central Florida.

“We found that there are no limits to the depths to which other countries, especially China, will go to steal our science and technology,” Sprowls said. “Foreign adversaries use our university systems, local governments, research institutions, and companies to intimidate, influence, and steal their way to strategic advantage. Today, we are introducing legislation to combat foreign influence in our public institutions and prevent corporate espionage in Florida.”

Disclosing donations of $50,000 or more from seven “countries of concern” is among the proposals. The countries include China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, and Venezuela.

DeSantis added that anyone seeking a contract with Florida worth $100,000 or more must disclose ties to the seven countries listed.
