Italian Institute of Health Drastically Reduces Its Official COVID Death Toll Number

Changes definition of COVID death from ‘with COVID’ to ‘by COVID’.

The Italian Higher Institute of Health has drastically reduced the country’s official COVID death toll number by over 97 per cent after changing the definition of a fatality to someone who died from COVID rather than with COVID.

Italian newspaper Il Tempo reports that the Institute has revised downward the number of people who have died from COVID rather than with COVID from 130,000 to under 4,000.

“Yes, you read that right. Turns out 97.1% of deaths hitherto attributed to Covid were not due directly to Covid,” writes Toby Young.

Of the of the 130,468 deaths registered as official COVID deaths since the start of the pandemic, only 3,783 are directly attributable to the virus alone.

“All the other Italians who lost their lives had from between one and five pre-existing diseases. Of those aged over 67 who died, 7% had more than three co-morbidities, and 18% at least two,” writes Young.

“According to the Institute, 65.8% of Italians who died after being infected with Covid were ill with arterial hypertension (high blood pressure), 23.5% had dementia, 29.3% had diabetes, and 24.8% atrial fibrillation. Add to that, 17.4% had lung problems, 16.3% had had cancer in the last five years and 15.7% suffered from previous heart failures.”

The Institute’s new definition of a COVID death means that COVID has killed fewer people in Italy than (whisper it) the average bout of seasonal flu.

Biden's Vaccine Mandate Is Worse Than We Thought: Unvaxxed Staff Will Be Subject to 'Punishment'

With Democrats having been shellacked at the polls on Tuesday, the Biden administration is pivoting from the carnage toward an issue only a liberal could think is a winner: Forcing Americans to do things they don’t believe they should do.

It was in this authoritarian spirit that the White House announced on Thursday that, starting Jan. 4, it will begin to enforce its previously proposed vaccine mandate.

The logic for the Biden administration has been that Americans like vaccine mandates and won’t return to work until they feel safe. This has been nonsense because (1) those who have been most vocal about being unsafe are the vaccinated (whom logic dictates should be the...

Army Surgeon: Mandated COVID Vaccine Gave Numerous Pilots Cardiac Problems So Serious She Had to Ground Them

“I believe the COVID vaccine is a greater threat to soldiers’ health and military readiness than the virus itself,” U.S. Army aerospace physician Lt. Col. Theresa Long said Tuesday.

Long, who is senior flight surgeon at the U.S. Army Flight School at Fort Rucker, Alabama, was addressing a roundtable discussion put together by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin). She said she was speaking under federal military whistleblower protection.

She recalled how “I saw five patients in clinic – two of which presented with chest pain – days to weeks after vaccination and were subsequently diagnosed with pericarditis and worked up to rule out myocarditis.

“The third pilot had been vaccinated and felt like he was drunk – chronically fatigued within 24 hours after vaccination. The pilot told me he didn’t know what to do, so he drank a lot of coffee to try and ‘wake himself up’ and continued to fly, until he realized it wasn’t going away.”

In the U.S., the FAA prohibits pilots from flying for 48 hours after receiving the COVID shots. Depending on...

Woman Who Testified Against Trump Also Introduced Authors of Fake Russian 'Dossier' to Each Other. Gee, What Are the Odds ... ?

The political Venn diagram with Vladimir Putin and the Democrats in the Trump Russia scandal just officially added another notorious name. In fact, it’s why Fiona Hill’s name is trending on Twitter and why the Left is trying to hard rehabilitate her image.

You remember Fiona.

She was the selfless hero who testified against the president in the notorious Trump-Ukraine “Phone Call.”

As Vox breathlessly reported at the time, Fiona Hill “met for over nine hours with congressional staff as part of the House Democrat-led impeachment inquiry, kicked off by allegations last month from a whistleblower who said Trump linked held-up military aid Ukraine wanted to start an investigation into Joe Biden’s family.” “This is a big deal,” the publication declared.

Hill, a leftover from the previous administration and a Brookings Institute expert, helped frame the Trump impeachment by selling the idea that the Phone Call was impeachment worthy. We can only guess she was ready, willing, and delighted to try to torpedo Trump’s presidency because her first try didn’t seem to be working.

Get a #2 Ticonderoga. It’s time to fill in your Venn diagram.

It turns out that Fiona introduced two major fake Trump/Russia scandal architects to each other.

Fiona’s friend and co-worker at the Brookings Institution think tank was none other than Igor Danchenko. Fiona also knew Christopher Steele. She introduced the two. And faster than you can say furious, Igor was working with Steele to make up stuff for that collection of notes and “memos” known as the Steele Dossier.

But Fiona’s friends Igor and Christopher did more than that. Igor got the “intelligence” for the “dossier” from a Hillary Clinton P.R. maven.

Just spitballing here, but I’m guessing old Fiona and her friends know the P.R. guy too.

You can read about it at PJ Media, but the short take is this: The Democrats made up the entire Trump Russia hoax with the help of...

U.S. Labor Productivity Crashes 5%, Worst Decline in 40 Years

Worker productivity slumped by much more than expected in the third quarter, data from the Department of Labor showed Thursday.

Hours worked increased by at a seasonally adjusted, annualized rate of seven percent in the July through September period, while output increased just 1.7 percent.

This is the worst productivity decline since the second quarter of 1981, when the measure decreased 5.1 percent. Economists had expected a milder decline of around 1.5 percent.

Productivity jumped in the first half of the year as output soared 8.1 percent in the first quarter and 8.5 percent in the second, outpacing the growth in hours worked. The second-quarter productivity figure was revised up to 2.4 percent growth from the earlier estimate of 2.1 percent as output was revised upward and hours worked revised down.

Compared with a year ago, output is up 6.1 percent and hours worked are up 6.7 percent, producing a 0.5 percent productivity loss. That’s the biggest annual decline in 10 years.

It’s likely that the productivity slump reflects supply shortages, which many businesses have said are keeping them from running at full tilt. As well, labor scarcity may have employers pushing existing workers to work longer hours, which can hurt productivity, and hiring less productive workers.

Manufacturing sector labor productivity decreased 1.0 percent in the third quarter of 2021, as output increased 5.7 percent and hours worked increased 6.7 percent. In the durable manufacturing sector...
