Russia Hoaxers Clapper, Brennan Will Answer To Weaponization Committee For Letter Calling Hunter Biden Laptop ‘Disinfo’

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennan will sit for transcribed interviews.

A pair of Russiagate all-stars will testify before the House Weaponization Committee this month over signing the infamous 2020 letter in which former intelligence officials claimed the Hunter Biden laptop was an instrument of Kremlin disinformation.

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennan will sit for transcribed interviews after House Republicans revealed Secretary of State Antony Blinken was behind the operation to discredit the laptop. Brennan will testify next week on May 11 and Clapper will appear before lawmakers on May 17, according to a source familiar with arrangements.

Weeks before the 2020 election, 51 former intelligence officials signed a letter published in Politico that smeared blockbuster stories sourced to an abandoned Delaware laptop as a Russian interference campaign. Emails recovered from the laptop hard drive belonging to Hunter Biden implicate President Joe Biden in global influence peddling schemes that appear to be at the center of Hunter’s potentially criminal enterprises.

“If we are right,” they wrote, “this is Russia trying to influence how Americans vote in this election, and we believe strongly that Americans need to be aware of this.”

Former Vice President Biden exploited the fabricated narrative on the presidential debate stage, using the letter to dismiss the allegations of corruption that surfaced from the computer. Biden perpetuated the claim of Kremlin interference despite the FBI, the Department of Justice, then-Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, and then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo debunking the popular Democrat talking point before the prime-time event.

Clapper defended attaching his signature to the letter last fall in an interview with New York Magazine.

“Clapper was not pleased to be asked about the letter two years after its release,” the magazine reported.

“What are you trying to get me to say, that I screwed up and I shouldn’t have signed the letter? I’m not going to say that,” Clapper told the paper. “As far as I was concerned, we were waving the yellow flag. At the time, it was fishy to me. It had the characteristics of a Russian disinformation campaign.”

In February, Clapper accused Politico of misleading the public about the letter published in full.

“There was message distortion,” Clapper told The Washington Post. “All we were doing was raising a yellow flag that this could be Russian disinformation. Politico deliberately distorted what we said.”

The letter’s signatories are still conducting damage control three years later as congressional Republicans probe the origins of the letter. On Tuesday, following the news that Blinken was involved in the letter’s creation, Republican Sens. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin and Chuck Grassley of Iowa demanded Blinken turn over his communications with Hunter Biden and accused the secretary of state of lying to Congress, a federal crime.

“It is now evident that your apparent willingness to deceive the public continued through December 2020 when you failed to tell the whole truth to congressional investigators about your contacts with Hunter Biden,” the senators wrote.

New allegations of presidential corruption surfaced Wednesday when Grassley joined House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer of Kentucky in sending a subpoena to the FBI for documents related to a criminal scheme involving Joe Biden and...

Oversight Committee Subpoenas FBI for Document Alleging ‘Criminal Scheme’ Involving Joe Biden and Foreign National

Republicans on Wednesday subpoenaed FBI Director Christopher Wray for records related to a whistleblower’s claim that Joe Biden engaged in a "criminal scheme" with a foreign national when he was vice president.

Rep. James Comer (R., Ky.), the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, issued the subpoena to Wray for FBI records from June 2020. Comer and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) assert that the document, an FBI form FD-1023, "allegedly details an arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions." The unidentified whistleblower provided the disclosure to Grassley’s office.

This is the latest in a string of whistleblowers who have come forward with allegations about the president and his son, Hunter. An IRS investigator has offered to provide Congress with information that shows the Biden Justice Department has pulled punches in its investigation into Hunter Biden for tax crimes. The director of a Washington, D.C. think tank has also claimed he provided the FBI with evidence in 2019 related to the Biden family’s dealings with CEFC China Energy, an energy firm linked to Chinese intelligence that paid Hunter Biden at least $6 million.

Grassley, who is known as an advocate for whistleblowers, said he and Comer want to find out what the FBI has done to investigate the latest whistleblower claims.

"We believe the FBI possesses an unclassified internal document that includes very serious and detailed allegations implicating the current President of the United States," he said.

Comer said the whistleblower’s claims raise "concerns that then-Vice President Biden allegedly...

Tech Tycoon Financing Trump Rape Trial Visited Epstein’s Island

"Hoffman was scheduled to attend a “breakfast party” with Epstein, Mr. Gates and others"

Last month Robert Spencer wrote about the revelation that the Trump rape trial was actually being financed by one of the slimiest leftist Big Tech billionaire donors around.

In a deposition last year, Carroll claimed that no one else was paying her legal fees. That was not true. The money was allegedly coming from American Future Republic: an anti-Trump group funded by Reid Hoffman. A filing by Trump’s attorneys alleges that, “previously, Hoffman contributed more than $600,000 to the legal defense fund of Bean LLC6—otherwise known as Fusion GPS, the company responsible for the creation of the Steele Dossier.”

How concerned is Hoffman about sexual assault? In 2015, he invited Jeffrey Epstein to a dinner that he was hosting. The notorious pedophile was even honored with a replica of a ‘Disobedience Award’: a social justice award funded by the Big Tech billionaire.

The latest Wall Street Journal report digging into Epstein’s ties to the elite reveals that Reid Hoffman went to Lolita Island.

The documents reveal that Epstein had plans for Mr. Hoffman and Mr. Ito to visit his private island in March 2014 and in November 2014. On the second date, Epstein planned to travel with both men from Palm Beach to the island for a weekend and then fly together to Boston.

When the venture capitalist had a flight scheduled to land late at night in New York on Dec. 4, 2014, Epstein arranged for Mr. Hoffman to stay overnight in his townhouse, the documents show. The following morning, Mr. Hoffman was scheduled to attend a “breakfast party” with Epstein, Mr. Gates and others, according to the documents.

Mr. Hoffman told the Journal he only once visited Epstein’s island residence, Little St. James, for an MIT fundraising trip with Mr. Ito. He said he regrets ever meeting with Epstein and his last interaction with Epstein was in 2015.

“It gnaws at me that, by lending my association, I helped his reputation, and thus delayed justice for his survivors,” Mr. Hoffman said in an email. He said he met with Epstein to discuss science projects at universities. “While I relied on MIT’s endorsement, ultimately I made the mistake,” he said, “and I am sorry for my personal misjudgment.”

It’s MIT’s fault. Right.

Epstein got off with a slap on the wrist, but his crimes were pretty clear. Blaming Ito and a MIT is the weakest of cop-outs. In a A Special Spot in Hell for Hillary Clinton, the next year, I wrote,

“While Hillary pontificated about the glass ceiling, the tabloids were filled with new allegations of sexual abuse about Clinton pal Jeffrey Epstein by one of his former “slaves”. Bill Clinton had taken frequent rides on Epstein’s private jet which had been nicknamed the “Lolita Express” because of its transportation of underage girls for the use of Epstein and some of his friends and associates.

Hillary Clinton was lecturing on feminism while new allegations were coming out about the former slave’s meeting with Bill Clinton on the “Lolita Express” and the favors that Bill owed Epstein.

Jeffrey Epstein was good at cashing in his favors. Despite buying girls as young as twelve, he served a year in the private wing of a Palm Beach prison with “work release” for six days a week and sixteen hours a day which he used to fly the...
