Unless they have significantly downgraded the estimates of the sun's power output in the last couple of years, the "watts per square meter" figure is off by a factor of 9. The correct figure is more than 1000 watts per square meter.

ReplyDeleteNASA is now some kind of Muslim outreach group; watts measure power, not energy. Watts is energy per unit time, or joules per second.
