You have come across a mystery box. But what is inside?
It could be literally anything from the serene to the horrific,
from the beautiful to the repugnant,
from the mysterious to the familiar.
If you decide to open it, you could be disappointed,
you could be inspired, you could be appalled.
This is not for the faint of heart or the easily offended.
I forwarded that beautiful pic of the hunting owl to some of my friends. Along with the pic, I added my take on it.

The constant struggle between Brer Rabbit and his predatory neighbors ws the major plot in the old Disney movie "Song of the South". My absolute favorite part was when caught, Brer Rabbit told his captors that if they didn't eat him, he would take them to "the laughing place". It sounded good and the fox and bear were taken to an old hollow gum tree so they put Rabbit down and crawled up into the big hollow which was full with a huge honey comb and a hoard of angry, protective bees who stung them silly. After the fuss was over, the hurting duo, all lumpy with bee stings called to the now further away Rabbit and said "... but you told us you'd take us the de laughing place?"
"I is! I is!" said Brer Rabbit, "Dis MY laughing place."
Please forgive the unavoidable political comment but at least half the time I see Hilarity whining about some world wide secret conspiracy which unfairly/illegally kept her from from winning the election I end up saying-- actually, generally gleefully shouting--- that phrase at her. "DIS MY LAUGHING PLACE"!
But here's the part of the Uncle Remus stories that did not make it into the movie, after Brer Bear and Brer Fox have gone home in shame from being massively outsmarted by Brer Rabbit--"What ebber you do, don trow me in de briar patch!". So they DID???
Brer Rabbit sat there for a while well protected by briars while smugly laughing and shouting insults at the two losers. Needing a carrot, he turned to go home and saw his first glimpse of Brer Owl. It was also his last!
