Hispanics Flip the Script When Univision Asks About Honduran Caravan

You've probably heard the narrative in one form or another: If you support border enforcement, you’re a horrible racist and probably hate Hispanics.

That implication has never been stronger than right now, as a nearly 10,000-strong caravan of migrants streams north from Central America through Mexico and toward the United States.

The establishment media’s reporting has had both overt and veiled references to racism, with the implication being that anyone who agrees with President Trump — that the migrants should not be allowed to illegally enter America — must be horrible bigots.

But as Univision just found out, that argument just doesn't hold water — especially when other Hispanics are the ones objecting to open borders.

During a segment from reporter Luis Megid on the Spanish-language and often anti-Trump cable channel, several Hispanic Americans were asked for their thoughts on the caravan. It didn’t go how Univision expected.

“How is it possible that a caravan from Central America is on its way to the U.S. and the people are speaking the way they’re speaking, demanding to get in?” responded one Hispanic man in fluent Spanish.

“No sir, this isn’t their country and they need to respect it,” he pointed out.

Another Hispanic man who Univision said was in Florida echoed similar sentiments. “Entering the U.S. illegally? There’s a process. We’re a country of laws,” he pointed out.

“Like the president says, they can come here, but they need to come here legally like the rest of us,” declared a Hispanic woman.

Even a Honduran woman named Carla, who said she entered the U.S. in a previous caravan, told Univision that she’s changed her view after seeing the huge number of people breaking through border crossings and continuing north.
