Ninety miles from the South Eastern tip of the United States, Liberty has no stead. In order for Liberty to exist and thrive, Tyranny must be identified, recognized, confronted and extinguished.
I dislike the suggestion that the government is dumb or incompetent. That budget either a bribe, hush money, a quid pro quo, or a slush fund for something illegal/immoral/both. Show me a member of congress that leaves office with less money than they entered, and I'll show you an idealistic fool that wouldn't be bought (and also only served one term). So, it wasn't dumb, it made perfect sense to the people that put it in there because it benefitted them personally.
