69,000 Fentanyl Pills Bound For US Seized In Mexico




69,000 pounds of the lethal opioid fentanyl and 573 pounds of methamphetamine have been seized by Mexican officials near the U.S. border in Arizona.

The Mexican cartels are notoriously trafficking the deadly narcotic into the U.S. thus fueling a spike in opioid overdose deaths in recent years.

The area where the seizure took place is largely controlled by Sinaloa cartel and its affiliates.

1/ 69,000 fentanyl pills, 573 pounds of meth seized by Mexican feds near Arizona border after a pursuit. The seizure took place on the Sonora state highway 037 Caborca-Puerto Peñasco, two arrests made after drugs located concealed in hidden compartments of a vehicle.

2/ Mexican federal police chased the vehicle involved in the seizure for approximately 15 miles prior to stopping it. This area where the seizure took place is controlled by the Sinaloa cartel & affiliated cells. Most fentanyl pills being produced by the Sinaloa cartel are fake

  1. Minor quibble, your post says 69000 POUNDs whereas the source says 69000 pills. ~35 Tons of pills would indeed be a large amount.
