Ted Cruz was also one of the first politicians to take up her cause and start to work against that corrupt judge's agenda. He isn't just supporting her with the business, he was a HUGE advocate during this situation.
I suspect that having a Congress Critter agitating on your behalf might have gotten a bit of attention from local and state officials.
