Ask for COVID vaccine proof, face a $5,000 fine in Florida

Florida will start issuing $5,000 fines to businesses, schools and government agencies that require people to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida will start issuing $5,000 fines to businesses, schools and government agencies that require people to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination.

Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill earlier this year that banned vaccine passports. The fines will start Sept. 16 if people are asked to show proof of a vaccine.

"Promises made, promises kept," DeSantis spokesperson Taryn Fenske said Wednesday.

Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, the state's only statewide elected Democrat and a candidate hoping to challenge DeSantis for governor next year, was critical of the freedom from government oppression this law affords.

COVID-19 deaths in Florida are at a record low have declined dramatically in recent weeks. Cases which include asymptomatic and false positives are also on the decline in Florida despite what the media tells you...

  1. Good for them! Here in CA, the governor has MANDATED that businesses, especially those in healthcare, force their customers/patients to PROVE their Covid vaccination status. Those of us who aren't doing it are actually in violation of that edict and could potentially face government action.

I have already been suspended by my local hospital for refusal to comply. Things are heating it, and it's almost like the lefties are itching to ignite the next civil war.
