Even though the Biden administration halted construction of the border wall in January, Texas decided to take matters into its own hands.
Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin shared photos of the project in a Twitter thread on Friday showing the progress made in the effort ordered by Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott.
Melugin reported that the state is using the same contractor that the Trump administration used, which is good news for that company.
The goal is to fill “gaps” in the Starr County region of the Rio Grande Valley, where migrants are constantly flowing through.
In addition, the construction is taking place on state land using state funds, which would make it extremely difficult for the federal government to pursue action against Texas.
But the federal government has already made its disapproval clear, as it has refused to sell the steel that is quite literally sitting at the border, since it was meant to be used for a wall that was under construction during former President Donald Trump’s administration, Melugin reported.
Right now, it is only 1.7 miles long, but it is a crucial starting point for the state’s self-sufficient project.

ReplyDeletewhat do we have? about 50 million+ "undocumented aliens"?
what're we gonna do with them? give 'em voting rights?
now it's become anybody with a foot on US soil is automatically a citizen.
In the year since the 2020 election, over 2 Million ILLEGAL ALIENS have been caught in Texas, given a court date(I know, HAHAHAHA) and released. God only knows how many just walked right the fuck in, straight to Dallas or Austin or Houston or even worse, flown into usually a red state at our expense. NONE of them should ever been allowed to step into this country.
ReplyDeleteAnd he wants a tongue bath for this? Fuck him. The National Guard should have been on the border the day after Biden was (fraudulently) elected.
Seems time to be looking at major commodities Washington DC and Democrat cities on east coast require to be sourced from Texas etal. Fuel in winter seems likely and there must be more. A lot of things come through their ports and they have world class medical service serving many from all over. Let's all just go ahead and get tough on these traitors. Plus possession means a lot. That Federal steel is stored in Texas, right? And there's not much Federal land in Texas. So where is it? Want a showdown? Texans are ready.
ReplyDeleteSeems to me that that steel is located on state owned land, not federal property. Texas should charge storage fees for the steel, and since it isn't paid, the steel will be confiscated. Texas should definitely secede from this farce of a 'united' country - it is probably the only area that could pull it off. It has the ports, the energy and the talent to rival the rest of the states.
