Beef prices: In 2015 we got up to $274 a hundred weight for primo steers and were able to purchase a new Wilson stock trailer and a new Honda Rancher quad that year. This year we're lucky to get $135 and sometimes can't even get a buck a pound.
We are cutting back on the herd to save feed costs and are teetering on the edge after raising beef since 1854.

Elmo my cousins ranch was founded in 1868. Here in Oklahoma many ranchers have added direct to the consumer sales to their operations.
