Ray Epps’ Pro-Democrat Past Resurfaces As New York Times Comes To His Rescue

Epps claims to support Trump, but promoted Hilary Clinton during the 2016 election.

Ray Epps, an alleged Trump supporter who was accused by many to be a federal agent guilty of encouraging Trump supporters to commit illegal acts on January 6th, 2021, was covered by the New York Times on Wednesday.

As National File previously reported, the Times piece attempted to clear Epps of any wrongdoing.

The article alleged he was just an average Trump supporter who has “suffered enormously in the past 10 months as right-wing media figures and Republican politicians have baselessly described him as a covert government agent who helped to instigate the attack on the Capitol last year.”

Darren Beattie’s Revolver News first covered Epps’ involvement in the Jan. 6 protest. Revolver posted a multitude of videos recorded on January 5th and 6th which showed Epps encouraging bystanders to trespass into the Capitol.

While the Times article pushes the idea that Epps was not a federal informant, but just a proud Trump supporter, uncovered Twitter activity from an account operated by Epps may push back on that narrative.

Ray Epps owned and operated “Rocking R Farms”, a wedding venue and ranch located in Queen Creek, Arizona.

In 2011, “Rocking R Farms, LLC” was first filed as a business by James Ray Epps.

However, months after the January 6th protest, Ray and his wife Robyn were mysteriously removed as members of the business on May 8th, 2021.

The business’ Twitter account, with the handle @RockingRFarms, was created in August of 2016. 16 tweets were published by the account, all of them relating to the business’ operations.

Multiple pictures tweeted by the account show Ray Epps.

While the account’s feed has remained inactive since June of 2017, the account’s “like” history suggest Epps may not be a Trump supporter at all.

In November of 2016, Epps’ account like a tweet posted by failed presidential candidate Hilary Clinton.

The tweet was a quote from Clinton’s concession speech: “To all the little girls watching…never doubt that you are valuable and powerful & deserving of every chance & opportunity in the world.”
