Elderly woman, 80, who has attended YMCA pool for 35 years is BANNED after demanding transgender worker leave women's locker room accusing them of 'watching little girls pulling down their suits'

Clementine Adams, who identifies as female but has yet to undergo gender reassignment surgery, was working in the women's locker room when he was confronted by Jaman
  • Julie Jaman, 80, has been a regular for 35 years at the Mountain View pool in the City of Port Townsend, Washington state - but has now been banned
  • She was made aware of the trans worker, Clementine Adams, being in the changing room while she was taking a shower after taking a dip
  • Jaman said she 'heard a man's voice' and confronted the man about whether or not he 'had a penis'
  • She told the trans worker to 'get out' but staff said she was being discriminatory
  • Police were called and took details of the incident in order to file a report
  • Pool bosses say Jaman was barred due to several incidents, not just this one
Jaman then told another staffer at the pool - but instead of a sympathetic ear, she was told by YMCA aquatics manager Rowen DeLuna, 'You're discriminating and you can't use the pool anymore. I'm calling the police.'

She was told that she was 'banned from the pool forever' as DeLuna called law enforcement.

Julie Jaman, 80, has been a regular for 35 years at the Mountain View pool in the City of Port Townsend, Washington state but has now been banned after complaining about a trans worker

'She didn't ask me what the problem was, if I was okay, nothing about me,' Jaman explained. 'It's as if she was just waiting to pounce on me. It was just stunning.'

Notes from the police detail how Jaman was in the locker room, 'screaming' at an employee and 'refusing to leave.'

Jaman, who has been a member of the pool for 35 years claims she had a 'great relationship with swimmers in the pool.'

But bosses at the facility see it differently - and have explained Jaman's barring as the culmination of a series of incidents where she 'violated the facility's code of conduct' and was not solely due to this specific incident.

'Julie Jaman was permanently suspended from the Mountain View Pool due to her repeatedly violating our Code of Conduct, specifically, using disrespectful words or gestures toward YMCA staff or others; abusive, harassing and/or obscene language or gestures toward YMCA staff or others,' Erin Hawkins, communications manager for the Olympic Peninsula YMCA, said to Fox News.

'We will not tolerate bias, hatred, or discrimination that leads to the oppression of individuals or communities. We will ensure sustained and meaningful progress toward equity and human dignity for...

  2. Just down the road from PA where I live. I'd like to say hey it's WA what do you expect? But this shit is out of hand everywhere albeit I guarantee it'd never happen in the small town in AR where I moved to WA from.

  3. At my pool there are two instructors who have been, over the years, transitioning. No one pays any attention to be honest. Both are active as instructors and trainers or just come in to do laps upon occasion. Both use the male rooms, no exceptions. That is acceptable in this liberal gender mad society as things go. I have seen such transitions over the decades and in most cases they go on to become dowdy females, not at all the flashy types.

But a penis attached to a male over 6 is wrong. Sometimes there are 20 to 30 little girls in the change room. Just wrong. We had, a few years ago, a creepy trans outed for his abhorrent grooming and sick behaviours. Jessica Janiv. Check it out.

Kudos to this lady. My sympathies however, as a long time swimmer, I know how badly she will miss her pool. Those places are also your social network at her age.

  4. when the YMCA became the topic of a village people song, two things came out of the closet:
they are batting for the other team, which was common knowledge long before the song,
and the C no longer stands for Christian
