On the KY teacher, my Doctor did that after Obamacare hit the Corporate Healthcare. The Healthcare costs rose high and as a Doctor she was working too many hours and not seeing her husband and children. She quit and started a personal practice that the costs were less than what I paid in corporate healthcare including medicine, which she arrange for less then going via corporate healthcare.
