I'm a 72 year old White cattleman who has partnered with black and white cow dogs his whole life, and if my dearly departed dogs could speak, I believe they would echo my sentiments exactly. No dogs, IMHO, have had better lives or were treated with more love or respect than mine.
BTW, they lived to the ripe old ages of 17, 17, 14, 18 and 16.
