  4. I understand her impulse to protect her daughter, but I wonder why she thought (or, more likely, "felt") that she could verbally attack a bad man with no consequences to herself. Safe bet she was unarmed, and I wouldn't be surprised to find that she voted for the people whose policies brought the alien to her country in the first place.
