  1. The red Cross, on its BEST day, is one of the WORST charities to donate to. When I was in the military, we had what they called the "Combined Federal Campaign." We were given booklets containing the different charities we could donate to. Each charity was ranked by the amount of donor money that actually reached the intended recipients. The Red Cross was almost DEAD LAST, with OVER 95% being spent on "administration..."

Indeed, we ARE left to defend ourselves... "They" aren't going to stop doing what they're doing unless WE STOP THEM!!!!

  2. DEC 8, 1963 Boing plane crash near Elkton,MD. Bus loads of us sailors from Bainbridge, MD went to pick up the pieces. The Red Cross charged us for hot coco and coffee!

  3. In the 1980s, I stopped giving to the Red Cross for these same reasons.

United Way takes your donations, takes their cut, then distributes to charities of their own choosing. Most are leftist causes.

United Way got many large employers to automatically deduct from employee's pay.

  4. For many years I have gone to NOAA website. Recently there has been a change which such suggests diversity hires. Much of the plain text is composed as if by 7th graders. Even the raw data is rearranged which taxes you to make sense of it.
These are changes of the past one ir two years.

  6. One of my mother's cousin's was a POW during WWII and he absolutely despised the Red Cross. I don't remember all of the BS they did, but they have a long history of being in it for themselves.
