Farming has enough problems without deliberately causing more. Between inheritance tax and the amount of labor required, it's very hard to find the next generation willing to take on the responsibility of farming. The democrats sold the lie that they were for the little guy while actively killing the family farm and encouraging mega farms with their economics of scale and less issues with generational turn over.
