Sometimes somebody (re)posts a meme that loses all it's intended effect over a simple misspelled word. Example: Catturd posted about lairs and thieves and I'm thinking of Ali-Baba.
I engage in pedantry far more often than anyone. Yet I've often wondered if it's a sign of intellect to mentally make to correct in order to understand the larger points.

What greatly annoys me is the software on this new phone which makes alterations to my typing. My above comment as example.
