ReplyDeleteDisney executives loaded the film with explosives at conception. Zegler unwittingly lit multiple fuses while holding on to the bomb. Really, her comments just reflected on the film as conceived. Had she talked up the film as like the original, audiences would have been furious at the bait and switch when they saw it.
ReplyDeleteIf Rachel were a little older and wiser, she could have sidestepped the controversy and let the studio take the heat for the total bomb this movie was always going to be. Instead, she blew it and herself to smithereens. Disney still looks bad, but Rachel looks unemployable.
