So all of Trump's tweets about no unprovoked attacks, foreign wars, etc are now gone too conveniently. Oh, and obviously these Iranians are too young to remember the 1955 CUA coup that put the brutal SHAH in power for 25 years. DeleteAs I said in another post, I like MrLiberty's reasoning. Because of something that happened 70+ years ago, it is impossible for the USA to ever do anything correctly ever again with regards to Persia. Just curious MrLiberty, how many decades have to pass before the US can do anything right ever again with regards to Persia? Or is everything the US does from now until the heat death of the universe wrong due to what happened in 1955?

ReplyDeleteThe Shah was already in power in 1953 when he used his constitutional powers to fire Mossedegh (not 1955). The CIA had nothing to do with that. Most likely the Shah wouldn't have lasted as long as he did without the CIA's support, but that's a different argument.
