About the Islamic slave trade, Saudi Arabia might have made it illegal, but they didn't enforce not having them till the late 80s, and still they have the work around of mistreating foreign workers like they did the slaves.

ReplyDeleteI understand why the male slaves left no descendants but where are the mixed race children of the female slaves? Certainly many or most of those women taken as sex slaves got pregnant and there should be matriarchal bloodlines just as there are in the Americas.
ReplyDeleteI had one the unsung Pontiac muscle cars, 1972 Luxury LeMans, 400, 4 bolt, 4BBL, TH350, "12-Bolt" axle.
ReplyDeleteNever found top end because over 125 or so air would get under it and it became a little scary, got there in a hurry though. It would snap 2nd gear at between 60 - 65 and 3rd a little north of 105.
Bought it for $400 in '83, sold it in '87 for $400 to a kid who totaled it but kept the engine. His dad got tired of it sitting on the side of the garage, so he asked me if I wanted it. I took it and sold it for $600 the AAMCO garage. A known ripoff repair joint, they probably sold it as a rebuilt engine to some dope for 3 grand.
