Andre Marou, the Libertarian Party candidate for president back in 1988 I think once said that the Democrat Party will always exist because Santa Claus is a very popular concept - getting something for nothing...even if a complete fantasy. Free market Capitalism requires effort and rewards based on things that have only to do with you and your efforts. That is why so many embrace crony capitalism, or the current American system. Purchasing the power and violence of the government is even easier than having to win over customers in a free marketplace.
