Hong Kong scientists patent anti-virus spray: ‘Protects surfaces for 3 months’
An anti-viral spray coating that can protect surfaces for 90 days from bacteria and viruses, including Covid-19 is the latest invention developed by researchers from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
HONG KONG - It’s called MAP-1 and according to a Reuters reports, the scientists took 10 years to develop this particular coating which, once sprayed on the surfaces most used by people – such as handrails, handles and buttons of lifts – would guarantee citizens maximum protection from pathogens.
The basic assumption is simple: ”There are surfaces that are often touched by many hands and which, at the same time, turn into very effective means for the transmission of diseases,” explained Professor Joseph Kwan, one of the main researchers of the team that developed the product. Hence the idea of removing viruses from one of the main means of transmission.
The coating that forms after spraying the product is made up of millions of nano-capsules containing disinfectants that, according to Professor Kwan, would continue to kill bacteria, viruses and spores, even after the coating has dried.
Unlike other disinfection methods, such as diluted bleach and alcohol, MAP-1 is potentiated by heat sensitive polymers capable of encapsulating and releasing disinfectants to human contact. Researchers want to underline too that the product is...
Oregon county creates race-specific 'grounding space' to escape 'whiteness' during pandemic
'Multnomah County is acting lawfully,' spokesperson declares.

In a daily report dedicated to news updates and guidance for county employees fighting the coronavirus, an Oregon county in the Portland area said it was creating a safe "grounding space" for minority staff to escape a predominant “whiteness.”
The April 5 "situation report" from the Multnomah County Office of Emergency Operations Center announced that the "Emergency Operations Center Equity Officer is hosting a grounding space for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) employees to share, heal, connect, and get grounded in a space that is not dominated by whiteness."
Heather Mac Donald, a Stanford-trained attorney and fellow at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research who writes about policing, homeless advocacy, criminal-justice reform and race relations, told Just the News that Multnomah County’s actions are particularly disturbing during a time of emergency.
“Identity politics long ago jumped from the university into the world at large, above all, into highly receptive government agencies and social service groups,” Mac Donald said. “It is of course outrageous that any alleged public health or service organization would spend any energy on reinforcing racial victimology and racial discrimination during this time of allegedly overburdened public health systems. But race hatred has been so baked into many government agencies by now that it is par for the course.”
Ron Christie, an African-American and senior staffer in the George W. Bush administration who was instrumental in getting federal backing for the The National Museum of African American History and Culture at the Smithsonian Institution, told Just the News that he found Multnomah County’s initiative to be "unconscionable.”
“If what has been reported in Portland is true, that people are being identified and classified based on racial or ethnic characteristics, it continues a disturbing trend that we've seen for the past several years, where public and private institutions are seemingly self-segregating in a time when we just had the first African-American president for eight years,” Christie said in...

Why The Meat Shortages Are Going To Be Much Worse Than Most Americans Are Anticipating
Many Americans have been absolutely shocked by the meat shortages that have started to happen around the nation, but what most of them don’t realize is that the worst is yet to come. More workers keep getting sick, more processing plants keep getting shut down, and Time Magazine is now warning that the meat shortages “could last for months”. And even if meat is available at your local grocery store, you may be limited to one or two of a particular item on each trip. For those not familiar with the concept, this is what is known as “rationing”.
And even though President Trump just issued an executive order that “encourages” meat processing facilities to stay open, it actually won’t do very much at all to alter our current trajectory, and I will explain why below.
But first, let’s talk about where things currently stand. According to USA Today, the number of cattle, hogs and sheep being slaughtered is way, way down compared to last year…
American slaughterhouses processed nearly a million fewer cattle, hogs and sheep in the past week than they did during the same time a year ago, marking a new low that experts say will likely increase “spot” shortages of meat at some grocery stores.
And as the number of meat processing facilities closing down due to the COVID-19 pandemic has surged, the decline in meat production has accelerated…
Last week, meat production was down about 25 percent compared to the same time last year, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. On Wednesday, production was a full 42 percent lower than the same day last year.
If production continues to stay at such a low level, we are going to run into major supply chain headaches very rapidly.
After all, do you plan to eat 42 percent less meat this year?
I certainly do not.
In recent days, there was hope that President Trump’s new executive order would bring a quick end to the meat shortages. When I first heard about this executive order, I assumed that it would force all of the meat processing facilities to reopen and would shield the owners from any lawsuits. But it turns out that this executive order doesn’t actually do either of those things…
Meanwhile, legal experts said President Donald Trump’s executive order Tuesday declaring meatpacking plants “critical” to keep open will do little on its own to stop the slide in meat production brought on by the spread of the coronavirus among meatpackers.
“It doesn’t compel meat or poultry producers to remain in production,” said Deborah Pearlstein, a law professor at Yeshiva University, and it doesn’t give employers immunity from lawsuits.
Sadly, it appears that this executive order isn’t really going to do much good at all.
Big meat processing corporations are going to be quite afraid to reopen facilities as long as the threat of lawsuits looms large. I can promise you that there are already lawyers circling like vultures, and they are going to try to squeeze millions of dollars out of these large companies.
So when will the threat of lawsuits finally go away?
Well, it won’t just be “weeks”, and “a few months” might be overly optimistic.
In our overly litigious society, reopening facilities and exposing your employees to the virus while a pandemic is still raging is basically the equivalent of begging for a class action lawsuit.
Unless President Trump or Congress steps up and takes bold action, nothing is going to change.
And if nothing changes, Tyson Foods is warning that “millions of pounds of meat will disappear from the food chain”…
Tyson Foods, one of the U.S.’s biggest meat processors, didn’t mince words in a full page New York Times spread that ran Sunday, in which they warned, “the food supply chain is breaking.”
“As pork, beef and chicken plants are being forced to close, even for short periods of time, millions of pounds of meat will disappear from the supply chain,” John Tyson, Chairman of the Board of Tyson Foods, wrote in a letter published as an advertisement. “As a result, there will be limited supply of our products available in grocery stores until we are able to reopen our facilities that are currently closed.”
And with supplies getting really tight, we are already starting to see prices go into the...
Nolte: Tara Reade Is Joe Biden’s Eighth Accuser
Tara Reade is Joe Biden’s eighth accuser, not his first, not his only. The fake news media want you to believe Reade is Biden’s only accuser, and that’s because there is no lie the media will not tell to protect the presumptive Democrat nominee.
But seven other women — seven! — none of them Republicans, have accused Joe Biden of everything from sexual assault to unwanted kissing to inappropriate touching.
Tara Reade
Reade claims Biden sexually assaulted in a hallway while she was working for him in 1993. According to Reade, Biden pinned her against a wall, shoved his hands up her skirt, and his fingers into her vagina. Reade has no fewer than five contemporaneous witnesses who say Reade told them about the assault at or near the time it happened. There is also video of Reade’s anguished mother calling into a 1993 edition of CNN’s Larry King Live desperately seeking advice for her daughter’s problems with a “prominent senator. ”
Biden denies the allegation but is refusing to open his archives at the University of Delaware where a copy of Reade’s sexual harassment complaint might be filed.
Tara Reade is a lifelong Democrat.
Lucy Flores
Last year, Flores, a former Nevada Assemblywoman, accused Biden touching and kissing her:
I felt two hands on my shoulders. I froze. “Why is the vice-president of the United States touching me?” I felt him get closer to me from behind. He leaned further in and inhaled my hair. I was mortified. I thought to myself, “I didn’t wash my hair today and the vice-president of the United States is smelling it. And also, what in the actual fuck? Why is the vice-president of the United States smelling my hair?” He proceeded to plant a big slow kiss on the back of my head.
Flores is a Democrat.
Amy Lappos
Lappos claims Biden pawed at her during a 2009 fundraiser:
It wasn’t sexual, but he did grab me by the head. He put his hand around my neck and pulled me in to rub noses with me. When he was pulling me in, I thought he was going to kiss me on the mouth.
Lappos is a Democrat.

Let's Make May 1st: International Communist, Collectivist Victims Day
Per the detailed analysis in “The Black Book of Communism: Crimes, Terror, Repression” (which should be required reading by every student in America) the number of deaths caused by Communism and Socialism was estimated at 94,360,000….
These estimates were made almost 20 years ago in 1997. Just imagine how some of the socialist and communist regimes have added to their total since…. And let’s not forget the full name of Hitler’s Nazi party was; Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (National Socialist German Workers’ Party).—Jeff Dunetz “On May 1st We Should Remember The Horrors Of Communism And Socialism”

Definition of collectivism
- a political or economic theory advocating collective control especially over production and distribution….
- emphasis on collective rather than individual action or identity
May 1st, or May Day, is celebrated by some around the world as “International Workers’ Day.” A friend recently sent me an article by Jeff Dunetz in which he suggests designating May 1st as a day to remember and honor the millions of dead discarded in the ruins of leftist utopias. Great idea.
For anyone who cares to watch, we even have a live demonstration of how a socialist/communist “utopia” implodes/explodes happening right now in Venezuela. Lucky for us – not so lucky for them.
You might think that even boneheaded liberals would have clued into the fact that...

Former ICE Chief Warns That US Will “Lose the Border” On “Day One” of Biden Presidency
Former Immigration and Customs Enforcement Acting Director Tom Homan broke down the consequences of a potential Joe Biden presidency on border security during an online event with the Center for Immigration Studies, explaining that a Biden administration would jeopardize all of the progress President Donald Trump has made in securing the southern border within the last three years.
“All the success President Trump has made, 80% decline on the southern border, goes away, Day One, if he doesn’t retain the presidency,” said Homan of the prospect of Biden defeating Trump in the 2020 election and winning the presidency.
Homan went on to warn that large groups of illegal immigrants would seek to infiltrate the United States on an immediate basis in the event of a Biden presidency, citing similar attempts at mass illegal immigration that have followed legal developments such as the temporary suspension of President Trump’s “Stay in Mexico” asylum regulation.
“The day they said we’re going to stop the remain in Mexico program, hundreds, hundreds of illegal aliens in Mexico were lining up to come across the border. It was within hours of that decision that we were looking at another surge. It’s proven itself.”
Homan has decades of experience in immigration law enforcement, starting as a border patrol agent in 1986. He was appointed the acting director of ICE in 2017 by President Donald Trump, retiring from the...
Thoughts For May Day...
While it may belong to a tradition of spring festivals, the date was chosen in 1889 for political reasons by the Marxist International Socialist Congress, which met in Paris and established the Second International as a successor to the earlier International Workingmen's Association. They adopted a resolution for a "great international demonstration" in support of working-class demands for the eight-hour day. The date had been chosen by the American Federation of Labor to continue an earlier campaign for the eight-hour day in the United States, which had culminated in the Haymarket affair, which occurred in Chicago on 4 May 1886. May Day subsequently became an annual event.[5] The 1904 Sixth Conference of the Second International, called on "all Social Democratic Party organisations and trade unions of all countries to demonstrate energetically on the First of May for the legal establishment of the eight-hour day, for the class demands of the proletariat, and for universal peace."[6]

Powell: More Evidence Shows FBI Set Up Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn. No Evidence He Committed A Crime.
Developing
In another dramatic twist of events 15 documents unsealed Thursday show that the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane team and senior FBI officials had worked diligently behind the scenes to target former National Security Advisor for President Trump Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who has withdrawn his guilty plea and is fighting for his case to be dismissed by the courts.
Further, the text messages reveal that there was an original 302 interview with Flynn that was never turned over to the defense. In those text messages between former FBI lovebirds Attorney Lisa Page and FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok, they discuss the interview that was conducted with Flynn at the White House and allude to the alteration of the document.
Those explosive documents suggest that the FBI was planning on closing the case on Flynn because there was no proof that he committed any crimes. In fact, the case against Flynn was closed on January 4, 2017 but reopened against Flynn, according to text messages unsealed and obtained by Powell.
The documents, which reveal his FBI code name ‘Crossfire Razor,’ expose that the Department of Justice withheld large amounts of exculpatory evidence from his defense team and, according to his attorney Sidney Powell, reveal egregious government misconduct.
“To be clear, we now know by the production of new text messages between Lisa Page and Peter Strzok that there in fact exists an original 302 document created by SSA 1 from his own notes of the January 24, 2017 ambush interview of Gen Flynn,” said Powell. “Further, we know in fact that SSA 1’s original 302 document went to Stzrok who rewrote it substantially, but tried not to “completely re-write it so as to save [redacted] voice” and then was shared by Stzrok with a “pissed off” Page who revised it substantively yet again, crafting the narrative to charge Gen Flynn with a crime he did not commit.”
She noted that as repugnant as this conduct is on its face, “the travel of this vital document establishes continuously – and until this day – the original FBI agents, the prosecutors, and FBI management’s determination to withhold exculpatory evidence required under Brady, among other violations of Gen Flynn’s civil rights. They withheld it not only to try to convict an innocent man, but to hide their own crimes.”
Moreover, the documents reveal that, according to the closing Electronic Communications memorandum, the goal was to determine if General Flynn “was directed and controlled by and/or coordinated activities with the Russian Federation in a manner which was a threat to the national security.”

American Stasi: California Building 10,000 Person Army Of Professional Snitches
California will lead the nation in creating an army of Big-Brother snitches to rat out personal health statuses. Hiring will be no problem since unemployment is rampant among many groups, including the homeless and illegal immigrants. What could go wrong?
This program risks the formal establishment of an American Stasi counterpart to the East German Stasi in East Germany during the Cold War after WWII. These were called “informants” but the people that they “spotted” were often targeted for death or labor camps. ⁃ TN Editor
California’s plans to build an army of 10,000 people that can trace the trail of the coronavirus exposure could serve as a template for the nation and create a whole new sector of public health workers.
San Francisco this week is deploying its first group of about 50 volunteer contact tracers, many with no health care background — such as city librarians, attorneys and investigators. Officials elsewhere are watching the approach developed by University of California, San Francisco researchers with the hopes that they can scale it up quickly with workers from nonhealth sectors to meet the needs this unprecedented pandemic.
related: Former Lt. Col. in Stasi, Wolfgang Schmidt, advises: “The only way to protect the people’s privacy is not to allow the government to collect their information in the first place.”Contract tracing involves tracking down the individuals and locations that an infected person may have exposed before being diagnosed with Covid-19. It is considered an essential tool to help states contain the virus once they lift stay-at-home orders, especially since many infected people can be asymptomatic carriers of the disease and expose others without knowing it.
“This is our Dunkirk moment for people to play their part in this work, and there’s also the understanding that we’re going to need a new vision of public health if we’re going to be able to address this,” said Mike Reid, a UCSF infectious disease specialist leading the effort, referring to the World War II battle in which hundreds of private civilian boats aided in the successful evacuation effort of Allied troops.
California is among the few states considered to be ahead of the curve in developing their tracing programs. But no other state has to do it for nearly 40 million people.
The state initially used contact tracing as a containment strategy early in the pandemic before cases skyrocketed, back when there was hope that...
Trump Says He Might Bring ‘Exonerated’ Michael Flynn Back Into Administration
President Donald Trump said Thursday he was open to bringing his first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, back into the administration, amid new information casting a shadow of impropriety over the FBI’s case against the retired lieutenant general.
“I would certainly consider it. Yeah, I would,” Trump said at a White House press conference Thursday. He later said of Flynn: “He would be capable of coming back.”
Trump was also asked whether he would pardon Flynn over charges he lied to the FBI after newly released Justice Department documents showed notes about a conversation between FBI officials who considered whether to try “to get him to lie.” In late 2017, Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, but later withdrew the plea.
“It looks to me like Michael Flynn would be exonerated, based on everything that I’ve seen,” Trump said. “I’m not the judge, but I have a different kind of power. But I don’t know if anybody would have to use that power. I’ve never seen anything like it. What they did, what they wrote … it’s just disgraceful.”
The president called Flynn “a fine man.”
“They did everything possible to destroy him. He’s still breathing very strongly. But they hurt him very badly,” Trump said.
FBI documents unsealed on Wednesday show handwritten notes from then-FBI head of counterintelligence Bill Priestap after he met with then-FBI Director James Comey. One of the notes asked, “What is our goal? Truth/Admission or to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired?”
Documents go on to show there were discussions about following procedures: “If we’re seen as playing games, [White House] will be furious.”
After initial remarks about Wuhan CoronaVirus and its impact on senior citizens, all of the initial questions from the press pool for Trump were about Flynn, a major departure from the typical Wuhan CoronaVirus press briefing. But he was also asked several questions about...
