Chip Roy Loses It on His Own Party in Fiery Speech, Compares This Moment to Alamo: 'I Am Tired of Words!'

GOP Texas Rep. Chip Roy is unhappy with how the border crisis is being handled. Given that he’s a conservative in a border state, this is hardly a surprise.

What is surprising is who he’s turning his ire toward: his fellow Republicans, who he says are only offering “words” and not solutions to illegal immigration.

In a Wednesday speech on the floor of the House of Representatives, Roy invoked the specter of the Alamo and urged his colleagues on the right to address the crisis now — lest their voters lose faith in them.

“If you do not secure the border now — now — you are giving up any argument you have for the American people to put their faith in you,” the congressman said in a fiery speech.

The proud Texan also said that the GOP of today paled in comparison to the bravery of their forefathers in the Lone Star State.

“What I am seeing right now from my Republican colleagues does not give me faith that they will stand up in the breach, as did those men who stood on the wall at the Alamo,” Roy said.

“I am tired of words. Things are going to change in this body,” the congressman said.

“If my Republican colleagues believe that they are going to be moving through relatively meaningless provisions, doing precious damn little for the very people who sent us here to change things, and they think that some of us are just going to go along for the ride, they are sorely mistaken. We will not.”

In addition, Roy said that just two months into the 118th Congress, Republicans in the newly retaken House of Representatives have “ran away from actually holding the...

Hershey’s Faces Backlash After Featuring Biological Male in Ad Honoring International Women’s Day

The Hershey Company is facing a backlash on social media after featuring a biological male dressed as a woman in a new ad honoring International Women’s Day.

The short commercial features Fae Johnstone, a “2SLGBTQUIA+ Advocate,” promoting a limited-edition Hershey’s candy bar with his image on it. (The acronym 2SLGTBQIA+ stands for “Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and/or Questioning, Intersex, Asexual”).

The spot was released on Wednesday as part of Hershey’s Canada’s “Her for She” ad campaign for International Women’s Day on March 8.

In the clip, Johnstone provides a voiceover explaining the company’s “inclusivity initiative”: “My name is Fae Johnstone, I’m the executive director of ‘Wisdom to Action.’ We can create a world where everyone is able to live in public space as their honest and authentic selves,” the trans activist says.

The ad ends with the Johnstone laughing and posing with four biological women. His voiceover concludes with an invitation for viewers to view Hershey’s Canada’s International Women’s Day campaign on its website.

“See the women changing how we see the future at Hershey’s Canada,” the transvestite said.

A press release from Hershey’s Canada named the five women featured in its ad campaign: “This year’s HER for SHE initiative spotlights five Canadian women … Autumn Peltier, Indigenous Rights and Water Activist; Fae Johnstone, 2SLGBTQIA+ Advocate; Rita Audi, Gender and Education Equality Activist; Naila Moloo, Climate Tech Researcher; and Kélicia Massala, founder of Girl Up Québec.”

Hershey’s decision to use a biological male for its women’s day campaign immediately prompted a backlash among disgusted social media users, including threats to boycott the chocolate maker.

Anti-Woke Twitter account @LeftismForU tweeted, “@Hersheys is putting the face of a trans-‘woman’ on chocolate bar wrappers with ‘HerShe’ highlighted in honor of International Women’s Day. Hershey’s is erasing women.”

Pro-Trump account “Catturd” tweeted, “Why does @Hersheys hate women?”

The Federalist Editor-in-chief Mollie Hemingway blasted the candy maker with a scathing response, saying, “So @Hersheys is featuring a male in costume as a woman for its international women’s day ad campaign.”

Conservative author and transgender movement critic Oli London slammed Johnstone and the ad, tweeting, “This is a tweet from the new face of HERSHEYS International Women’s Day Campaign – a man who identifies as a woman! The whole ad campaign is designed to uplift women on women’s day- but instead is a complete disrespect to REAL Women!”

The Federalist co-founder and CEO Sean Davis wrote, “Hershey’s is ‘honoring’ women by featuring delusional, disfigured men on its candy bars. Feel empowered yet, ladies?”

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton commented, “@Hersheys embraces misogyny.”

Johnstone, who describes himself as a “queer, trans and feminist activist” on Twitter, has an online history of attacking feminists who oppose...

Biden’s DHS Just Revealed How It Plans To Use Your Tax Dollars To Interfere In U.S. Elections

In its latest attempt to interfere in the electoral process, the Biden administration announced on Monday that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is planning to award millions of taxpayer dollars to local governments throughout the country for so-called “election security” purposes.

In an agency press release, the department revealed its plans to provide “more than $2 billion in funding for eight fiscal year 2023 preparedness grant programs,” which it claims are designed to “help state, local, tribal, and territorial officials prepare for, prevent, protect against, and respond to” so-called “acts of terrorism.” Under Joe Biden’s presidency, DHS has routinely identified targeting “domestic violent extremism” as its top priority. Of course, such proclamations are never in reference to violence carried out by leftist groups such as Antifa or Black Lives Matter, but rather right-of-center people and organizations that threaten the regime’s narratives and policy goals.

Included in the new DHS press release are six “national priority areas” for the 2023 grants, with one of the priorities being what the department calls “election security.” Under the directive, grant recipients such as the agency’s “Urban Area Security Initiative” are required to spend at least 3 percent of their total grant money on so-called “election security” efforts. As even the left-wing Bipartisan Policy Center admitted, federal funding for elections has never been conducted this way.

While the press release doesn’t specify what the agency means by “election security,” a separate report detailing the specifics of the 2023 grant program lists several vague “core capabilities” of election security, including “cybersecurity,” “operational coordination,” and “long-term vulnerability reduction.” The document also lists numerous examples of potential projects local election offices could invest their grant money in, such as “online harassment and targeting prevention services” and “physical/site security measures — e.g., locks, shatter proof glass, alarms, access controls, etc.”

Furthermore, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has indicated these grants will be directed toward primarily urban areas, where voters routinely favor Democrat candidates over Republican ones. Recall how private funding from partisan actors such as Mark Zuckerberg was injected into government election offices primarily in the blue, urban areas of swing states, creating what amounted to a Democrat...

The NIH is Spending $241M to Push Ideology and Diversity Over Science

Defund the NIH.

And you thought the NIH was just bad during the pandemic. Post-pandemic, it’s aiming to wreck medical research for generations by spending $241 million to mandate ideological conformity and diversity over science.
In 2020 the National Institutes of Health created the Faculty Institutional Recruitment for Sustainable Transformation program “to enhance and maintain cultures of inclusive excellence in the biomedical research community.” The program will give 12 institutions a total of $241 million over nine years for diversity-focused faculty hiring. Under the terms of the grants, only candidates who demonstrate “a strong commitment to promoting diversity and inclusive excellence” can be hired through the program. To apply, candidates must submit a diversity statement.
Diversity statements play the same role as expecting Chinese research to quote from Mao’s Little Red Book or Soviet scientists to explain how they incorporate Marxism-Leninism into their work. It’s the bastard child of anti-racism and at its core, it mandates ideological conformity, punishes dissent and original thinking, and treats research as just another organizing point for its extremist creed.

The South Carolina and New Mexico rubrics call for punishing candidates who espouse race neutrality, dictating a low score for anyone who states an “intention to ignore the varying backgrounds of their students and ‘treat everyone the same.’ ” Applicants who are skeptical of DEI programming might choose to describe their commitment to viewpoint diversity. This too runs afoul of the rubrics, which mandate a low score for any candidate who defines diversity “only in terms of different areas of study or different nationalities but doesn’t mention gender or ethnicity/race.”

The rubrics likewise punish candidates for failing to embrace controversial diversity practices. They recommend low scores for candidates who “state that it’s better not to have outreach or affinity groups aimed at underrepresented individuals because it keeps them separate from everyone else, or will make them feel less valued.” These affinity groups exemplify a new kind of segregation, but expressing that view could imperil an applicant’s career.

This is typical of diversity statements whose express goal is to get candidates to disavow any notions of neutrality or equality, and to commit to viewing everything through the leftist lens of...

Air Force Abruptly Axes 2 Commanders and 4 Other Leaders at Nuclear Base: 'These Personnel Actions Were Necessary'

Two commanders and four subordinates at North Dakota’s Minot Air Force Base were dismissed Monday, with the Air Force being tight-lipped about the reasons for the move.

The dismissals were announced in a news release on the 8th Air Force’s website.

The release said Maj. Gen. Andrew Gebara, the commander of the 8th Air Force, relieved two commanders from their positions because of “a loss of confidence in their ability to complete their assigned duties.”

“Additionally, four additional subordinate leaders were relieved by commanders assigned to Minot Air Force Base,” the release said.

“These personnel actions were necessary to maintain the very high standards we demand of those units entrusted with supporting our Nation’s nuclear mission,” Gebara said in a statement.

“Eighth Force continues to safeguard global combat power and conduct around-the-clock strategic deterrence operations in a safe, secure and effective manner,” the general said.

“Our mission is foundational to our Nation’s defense, and we remain committed to the success of that no-fail mission,” he said.

The release said the commanders dismissed led the 5th Mission Support Group and the 5th Logistics Readiness Squadron.

“To protect the privacy of the individuals, further details will not be released,” it said.

The website Task and Purpose, citing an Air Force Global Strike Command representative, identified the dismissed commanders as Col. Gregory Mayer, who led the 5th Mission Support Group, and Maj. Jonathan Welch, who led the 5th Logistics Readiness Squadron.

The Air Force Times said Mayer was in his post for eight months, having arrived at the base in June.

Mayer held what the outlet called “leadership roles in the civil engineering community” in recent years and had spent 25 years in...

The Population Crash

The demographic Titanic is going to hit the iceberg. We may be thankful that some people on the ship are building lifeboats while there is still time.

In 1968, Stanford biologist Paul Ehrlich published The Population Bomb, a book extrapolating global population growth data to predict a catastrophe as humanity’s demand for resources outstripped supply. The book became a bestseller and catapulted Ehrlich to worldwide fame. But today, just over a half-century later, humanity faces a different challenge. We are in the early stages of a population crash.

Ehrlich’s basic math wasn’t necessarily flawed. In 1968, the world population was 3.5 billion, and today the total number of humans has more than doubled to just over 8 billion. Anyone with a basic understanding of exponential growth can appreciate that if human population doubles every 50 years, within only a few millennia, an unchecked ball of human flesh would be expanding in all directions into the universe at the speed of light. Which means, at some point, Malthusian checks will apply.

But where extrapolation yielded panic, reality has delivered something completely different. Today population growth is leveling off almost everywhere on earth, and the cause of that decline started, ironically, back in the 1960s when Ehrlich wrote his book. The reasons for this are subtle, because the only ultimate determinant of population growth is the average number of children a generation of women are having, and the impact of that and other variables take decades to play out.

In the late 1960s, the United States, along with most Western nations, had just moved out of its baby boom years, that period from 1946 through 1964, when women were still having lots of babies. Having grown up during the Great Depression, followed by a world war, the choice to have large families may have been a response to the adversity these women and men experienced as they came of age. That theory is borne out by subsequent history.

Over the past 50 years, in a pattern that has been repeated around the world, as prosperity increased, the average number of children per woman of childbearing age has decreased. The chart below provides hard evidence of this correlation. Tracking data per nation, the vertical axis is the average number of children per woman. The horizontal axis is the median income. A clear pattern emerges. In extremely poor nations, birth rates remain at Ehrlichesque levels. But once a nation’s median income rises barely above poverty, at around $5,000 per year, the average number of children per woman drops below replacement level.

One may view this chart and conclude that if an average of 2.1 children per woman is necessary to keep a population stable, this cluster of nations averaging around 1.5 children per woman can’t be that bad. But that reasoning ignores basic math. At a replacement rate of 1.5 per woman, for every 1 million people of childbearing age living in a nation today, there will only be 420,000 great-grandchildren. This means that nation’s population will drop to 42 percent of what it is today in less than a century. And the numbers get worse very fast.

South Korea’s current fertility per woman, for example, is a dismal 0.81, and those are extinction-level numbers. At that rate of reproduction, for every 1 million Koreans of childbearing age today, there will only be 66,000 great-grandchildren. South Korea is on track to disappear in less than a century.

This collapse is just now becoming apparent in overall population numbers because it is only when a numerically superior older generation, the product of fecundity, begins to die that absolute totals begin to drop. As baby boomers, known to demographers as the “pig in the python,” reach the end of their lifespans, the consequences of the decade decline in birth rates will finally be reflected in dramatic downward shifts in total population. That process is...
