Years ago a calif congressman named Hiakawa tried to get a bill passed for English only for government documents. It failed of course so every state issued correspondence comes in numerous languages.
Did you know that almost all committee meetings in the state (CA) held in Spanish! That really pisses me off. And they set up fake commissions so they can get extra pay for meetings that don't even exist. Corruption no one is willing to fix, not even the feds or the crooked courts.
