Biden's Equity-Focused 'Infrastructure' Plan Seeks to Crush Single-Family Zoning

President Trump's warning that Joe Biden wants to abolish the suburbs is proving to be accurate.

The Biden regime is working on "pushing local governments to allow apartment buildings in neighborhoods that are currently restricted to single-family homes," Reuters reported on Thursday.

The $5 billion plan could inject the White House into a debate pitting older homeowners against younger workers seeking to gain a foothold in the most expensive U.S. cities, where many families spend a third or more of their income on housing.

The proposal, which would provide financial incentives to local governments that change zoning laws restricting many neighborhoods to single-family homes, is an example of the sort of broad social policy changes Democrats are including in Biden’s $2 trillion infrastructure bill.

Critics of the zoning laws say they drive up housing costs, contribute to urban and suburban sprawl and perpetuate racial segregation.

[...] Under pressure from politically active homeowners, urban areas with the tightest restrictions in place - coastal cities including New York and San Francisco - have increased them further since 2006, according to a University of Pennsylvania survey.

Mind Control: German researchers create, then erase, false memories in people’s minds

A team of researchers in Germany has completed successful experiments in which they showcased how false memories can easily be planted and, more importantly, erased, with potentially serious implications for the justice system.

The team, from the University of Hagen, Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien, Johannes Gutenberg Universität Mainz, and the University of Portsmouth conducted a series of memory experiments on volunteers over the course of several sessions.

They wanted to both confirm that it is possible to implant (or incept, if you will) false memories in the mind of a subject using certain psychological techniques and tricks that rely heavily on the power of suggestion through repetition, while also discovering to what extent these memories can be erased.

In this latest experiment, the researchers created fictional, but plausible, stories from 52 participants’ childhoods and blended them with events that actually took place.

The researchers then reinforced these false memories in the minds of the participants by asking the volunteers’ parents to play along and claim things happened exactly as described, including the additional, fictional elements.

This process was repeated over the course of multiple sessions to such a degree that many of the participants became convinced the accounts were, in fact, true and thus, a false memory was born.

Now all that remained was to extricate these false memories from the minds of the volunteers, which turned out to be almost as easy as implanting them had been.

They merely asked the volunteers to identify the source of the memory while highlighting the fact that false memories can be created through a process of repeated, elicited recall that itself can become a form of conditioning.

“If you can bring people to this point where they are aware of that, you can empower them to stay closer to their own memories and recollections, and rule out the suggestion from other sources,” psychologist Aileen Oeberst at the University of Hagen says.

Again, over the course of multiple sessions, volunteers began to shed the false memories that they had previously believed, with a little nudge from their parents, were completely real, with the majority returning to the baseline of credulity from their initial meeting during which the false memory ‘inception’ began.

Professor investigated for nine months after disagreeing with anti-racism diversity training

‘Everyday Americans of all colors, creeds, backgrounds, and beliefs are being held hostage’

Elisa Parrett is a tenured English professor at Lake Washington Institute of Technology in Kirkland, Washington, who has spent the last nine months under investigation for pushing back against her school’s mandatory, racially segregated diversity training.

The lengthy investigation is estimated to have cost taxpayers more than $200,000, and it culminated late last month with a written reprimand, Reason reports, calling it possibly “one of the more expensive written reprimands in community-college history.”

Parrett was put on paid administrative leave after she read a statement that criticized the anti-racism narrative as a false dichotomy that divides people and ignores more pressing problems facing all Americans. She said it during the required faculty diversity training.

The statement prompted the institute’s President Amy Morrison to launch the investigation shortly thereafter, saying in a memo to the campus community it was due to Parrett’s “egregious behavior which has led to substantial harm to hundreds of colleagues on campus.”

French tycoon and former Adidas owner Bernard Tapie and his wife were attacked by four immigrants in a violent burglary at their home in Combs-la-Ville (Seine-et-Marne) near Paris. According to a police source, of the four suspects, three were of an “African type” and one of a “North African type”.

The four attackers reportedly gained access to the couple’s estate before entering through the window of one of the bedrooms on the first floor. An item belonging to them was found there. They allegedly knew the lay-out of the home.

The couple were tied up with electrical cords, physically assaulted and robbed. Bernard Tapie, 78, who was briefly a government minister, has always been a vocal advocate for immigration. And Tapie tried to reason with his torturers to make them aware of this fact. But when Tapie told the attackers that he had always stood up for migrants, one of the torturers replied: “Fuck you, that time is over!”

Tapie and his wife, Dominique, 70, had been sleeping when the assailants confronted them. “They were woken up by flashlights in the face,” a person close to the case told le Parisien. The couple were dragged from their bed, assaulted and tied up. “The attackers wanted to know where the safe was. They attacked Dominique, hitting her in the face,” this source explained. Bernard Tapie, for his part, received a violent blow with a baton behind the head, which left him stunned and confused.

The investigation has now been taken over by prosecutors in the capital Paris. Investigators from the Versailles judicial police initially had to reconstruct the attack without CCTV images: there were no cameras around the residence. But according to information from the Parisian daily, a glove was found on the scene.

Billionaire tech investor Peter Thiel slammed Silicon Valley leaders for outsourcing vital technologies to the Chinese Communist Party.

Joined by former secretary of state Mike Pompeo and former national security adviser Robert O’Brien at a Tuesday Seminar On China, Thiel said his peers in the tech industry act as "useful idiots" for the interests of Beijing by transferring innovative American technology to the oppressive regime. The entrepreneur and founder of PayPal pointed to companies such as Google that export artificial intelligence and facial recognition technology to China, tools used to oversee the genocide of Uyghur Muslims in Western China.

"It’s some combination of wishful thinking. It’s useful idiots, you know, it’s CCP fifth column collaborators," Thiel said of Silicon Valley administrators. "I think if you think of it ideologically or in terms of human rights or something like that, I’m tempted to say it’s just profoundly racist. It’s like saying that because they look different, they’re not white people, they don’t have the same rights. It’s something super wrong."

O’Brien accused Silicon Valley leaders of hypocrisy for preaching "woke" pieties about social justice issues in the United States while ignoring crackdowns on human rights and political freedom within China.

"In Silicon Valley, we’ve got … a very woke industry in general about what’s happening here," O’Brien said. "Yet it’s not very woke in what’s happening to the Uyghurs, what’s happening to the Tibetans, what’s happening to the democrats with a small ‘d’ in Hong Kong, the threats against Taiwan where you’ve got the indigenous people of Taiwan. So, there seems to be less concern about those folks in Silicon Valley and industry in general than the concern for woke progressive politics here."

Part of the tech problem, Thiel said, also comes from American companies refusing to cooperate with the Pentagon and instead pivoting to Beijing. In order to right the ship, he said, the United States must take a more active role in pressuring private companies to divorce from Chinese markets.

"We need to call companies like Google out on working on AI with Communist China, not with [the] U.S. military," Thiel said. "I think we should be putting a lot of pressure on Apple with its whole labor-force supply chain on the iPhone manufacturing in China…. There is [this] obviously crazy double standard where labor laws don’t apply there, but do apply here and all sorts of crazy double standards, and you need to call people out on that relentlessly. I think the cyber security is simply a mess as far as I can tell."

A major element of the conflict with China is an ideological struggle, Pompeo said. Beyond preparing the American tech industry for competition with China, Americans must also "be unashamed" about addressing abuses perpetrated by the Chinese Communist Party, he said.

TikTok – a short video app compromised by the Chinese Communist Party – is teeming with videos advising illegal aliens on how to stay in the U.S. and avoid deportation.

TikTok, whose founder has pledged to use the app to “promote socialist core values” and routes data through China-based servers, is hosting videos amassing millions of views targeting illegal aliens.

As a report from the outlet Mother Jones notes, “many of the advertisements seem to target undocumented Latin American immigrants with strong ties to the United States and few to no existing options for obtaining legal status.”

In other words, “immigrants who enter the country illegally, overstay a visa, or have certain criminal convictions or prior deportation orders” are the “population that the TikTok ads primarily target.”

"Another Christian who asked to remain anonymous told RFA that similar facilities are being used across China, not just for Protestants, but also for members of the underground Catholic church, and of the banned Falun Gong spiritual movement, a target of authorities since 1999."

Radio Free Asia is a non-profit broadcasting corporation funded through the U.S. Agency for Global Media, an independent federal government agency.

The communists reportedly focus mostly on targeting "house churches" that are not members of the CCP-backed Three-Self Patriotic Association, which teaches people a CCP-approved version of Christianity because it views Christianity as a national security threat.

"It was a mobile facility, that could just set up in some basement somewhere. It was staffed by people from several different government departments," Li said. "It had its own (CCP) political and legal affairs committee working group, and they mainly target Christians who are members of house churches."

"They use really underhand[ed] methods," Li continued. "They threaten, insult and intimidate you. These were United Front officials, men, women, sometimes unidentified, usually in plain clothes. The police turn a blind eye to this. You have to accept the statement they prepare for you. 60 Minutes, a long-disgraced news magazine that airs on far-left CBS, launched a political assassination attempt against Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) Sunday night. By Monday afternoon, this shamelessly dishonest hoax and conspiracy theory had collapsed into a steaming pile of fake news.

According to the long-disgraced 60 Minutes, DeSantis accepted a $100,000 political donation from Publix supermarkets and then awarded Publix with a vaccine contract. In other words: pay-for-play.

Here’s how the hoax fell apart….

It began with the discovery that the long-disgraced 60 Minutes had deliberately and maliciously edited a clip of DeSantis while he answered a round of questions and heckling from disgraced-60 Minutes correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi.

Through this deliberate act of malicious editing, the long-disgraced 60 Minutes tried to make DeSantis look like a fool as he dodged her question. The truth, however, as we saw in the full video, is that he answered her question at detailed length and did so to the satisfaction of any reasonable person.

The full video hit social media almost immediately after the long-disgraced 60 Minutes hit piece aired and quickly went viral.

Then, Jared Moskowitz, Florida’s former head of emergency management and a Democrat, lashed out at the long-disgraced 60 Minutes as liars spreading “absolute malarkey” about DeSantis.

“60Minutes I said this before and I’ll say it again, he tweeted. “@Publix was recommended by @FLSERT and @HealthyFla as the other pharmacies were not ready to start. Period! Full Stop!”

Border Patrol Intercepts Convicted Murders, Child Rapists Crossing US Border.

U.S. Border Patrol has arrested convicted child rapists and murderers attempting to cross the U.S. border.

On April 4th in the San Diego sector of the border, agents intercepted a “5-year-old El Salvadorian national, had been convicted in 2009 for aggravated sexual battery of a child under 13 in Virginia.”

“He was sentenced to 20 years in prison. The man was subsequently removed to El Salvador in 2014 after having a portion of his criminal sentence suspended,” Customs and Border Protection (CBP) adds.

CBP also notes a dramatic increase in sex offenders crossing the U.S. border, adding “in fiscal year 2021, which began October 1, SDC’s Border Patrol agents have arrested 31 sex offenders exceeding the 25 sex offenders arrested in San Diego Sector during fiscal year 2020.”

Joe Biden’s border policies continue to cause a deliberate invasion of the border and put American’s lives at risk. In the latest incident, Border Patrol Agents in California arrested two Muslim terrorist from the Yemen trying to infiltrate America. The two Yemeni muslims who were apprehended in the past several weeks, were listed on the FBI’s terrorism watch list.

The men, arrested in January and March near a port of entry in California, were on a U.S. government watchlist for terrorism suspects and a “no-fly” list, CBP said in a press release.

One of the men, aged 33, was arrested on Jan. 29 after allegedly attempting to cross the border illegally near a port of entry in Calexico, California,

Border agents found a mobile phone SIM card located beneath the insole of the man’s shoe, the agency reported.

The second man, aged 26, was arrested on March 30 in the same vicinity.

The agency did not provide the names of either men.

Southern states like Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico continue to be a main point of entry for illegals and terrorists. For years, Marines who served in the Middle East have tried to warn Americans of the threats by Islamic terrorists trying to enter our country.

As one Marine warned during an interview several years ago, “They (Jihadis) hate us with a passion – we are the infidels….we deserve to die”. When he is asked his opinion as to how long it will be until there is another 9-11 Islamic terrorist attack he states, “I’m surprised it has not happened yet…..as soon as they figure out how to get a nuclear device in here we will lose a city, I guarantee.” The interviewer then asks the marine where is the “most open door” for the terrorists to enter. The U.S. is facing more migrants crossing the border under Joe Biden today than it has in the last 20 years. Over 6,000 illegals are crossing the border into America every day.

Temporary Foreign Workers Eligible for Stimulus Payments

My colleague Steven Camarota has described the huge extent to which illegal aliens can, and do, secure those $1,400 stimulus checks, but there is more. Most aliens working in foreign worker programs are getting the same break as well.

The government appears to be making stimulus payments to people with work-authorized Social Security numbers, regardless of their immigration status. Many people here on the most temporary of visas have these numbers.

The irony drips all over the place when it comes to recent alien college graduates who are in the federally subsidized Optional Practical Training (OPT) program, which we have discussed before.

The employers of OPT workers do not pay payroll taxes on them, and many of these workers (those here for five years or less) do not see deductions for these taxes, yet the aliens usually have Social Security numbers, and are thus eligible for the $1,400 checks. So in all cases their employers do not, and in many cases the employees do not, contribute to the federal trust funds, like the rest of us do (at about 8 percent of income), but they are eligible for the stimulus payments.

It’s nice (doubly subsidized) work if you can get it.

One of the main problems with the OPT program, which gives subsidies to U.S. employers who hire recent foreign graduates of U.S. college and universities to work for one year in some cases, and three years in others, is the harm it does to three federal trust funds. (To be clear, OPT is for aliens on student visas, not for permanent residents (green card holders) who aren't citizens yet, who pay the same taxes as citizens.) Payroll taxes support the Social Security, Medicare, and federal unemployment insurance trust funds.

The other major problem is that a citizen or a green-card recent college grad loses a job every time an employer hires an OPT worker.

And no citizen college graduates, or their employers, get these benefits. It is one thing to allow a recent alien college graduate to work legally (even though it’s a questionable call), but it’s quite another to demand that the nation’s ailing, aging, and unemployed subsidize such jobs, as is the case with OPT.
