Meanwhile, Trump and McConnell Keep Confirming Federal Judges, 'Flipping' Several Circuit Courts

As the impeachment drama sucks up all the energy in the House of Representatives and consumes the attention of the political press, Senate Republicans are taking advantage of the legislative process grinding to a halt -- despite Nancy Pelosi's vow that impeachment would not halt progress on other important issues. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and the upper chamber's judiciary committee have teed up a nonstop merry-go-round of judicial confirmations, which is spinning ever closer to achieving 'Cocaine Mitch's' stated goal of filling every single vacancy on the federal bench by the end of President Trump's term. They've been grinding away, making steady, consequential, lasting progress:

Even as the House Intelligence Committee on Wednesday heard crucial testimony from pivotal witness Gordon Sondland, the Senate voted to confirm Trump’s latest appointee to the Atlanta-based 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, a regional appeals court handling cases from Georgia, Alabama and Florida. The action represented a new milestone in Trump’s dramatic reshaping of the federal judiciary, with Republican-appointed judges now in the majority in the 11th Circuit, whose majority before Trump took office in January 2017 had been Democratic appointees. Republican-appointed justices tend to be conservative, while Democratic-named judges tend to be liberal. This marks the third time that Trump has been able to engineer the ideological “flip” of...

NYT Names FBI “Resistance” Lawyer Under Criminal Investigation For Fabricating FISA Docs

The New York Times has revealed that the “low-level lawyer” under criminal investigation for allegedly doctoring materials used to obtain renewals of the Carter Page surveillance warrant is Kevin Clinesmith – who worked on both the Hillary Clinton email investigation and the Russia probe, was part of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team, and interviewed Trump campaign advisor George Papadopoulos.

Clinesmith, a 37-year-old graduate of Georgetown Law, “took an email from an official at another federal agency that contained several factual assertions, then added material to the bottom that looked like another assertion from the email’s author, when it was instead his own understanding,” according to the report.

Mr. Clinesmith included this altered email in a package that he compiled for another F.B.I. official to read in preparation for signing an affidavit that would be submitted to the court attesting to the facts and analysis in the wiretap application.
The details of the email are apparently classified and may not be made public even when the report is unveiled. New York Times

In other words, we won’t get to see whatever the FBI used to trick the FISA court into granting Page’s renewals.

Clinesmith, a former attorney with the FBI’s National Security and Cyber Law Branch while working under FBI’s top lawyer, James Baker, resigned two months ago after he was interviewed by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horrowitz’s office. Horrowitz in turn sent a criminal referral to US Attorney John Durham, who was tasked with investigating the Obama DOJ’s conduct surrounding the 2016 US election.

The referral appears to at least be part of the reason that Durham’s inquiry was elevated from an administrative review to a criminal investigation, according to the report. The findings are set to be revealed on December 9, when Horowitz will release his long-awaited report, which Trump’s allies believe will reveal an effort to undermine...

Sens. Johnson, Grassley Seek Records on Obama Officials’ Meetings With Ukrainian and DNC Officials

Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) asked for records of White House meetings in 2016 between Obama administration officials, Ukrainian government representatives, and Democratic National Committee (DNC) officials.

Johnson, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, and Grassley, chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, asked Archivist David Ferraro to produce records so as to “better understand the nature of these meetings, including who attended and what was discussed,” in a letter sent on Thursday (pdf).

“According to recent reports, in January 2016 Ukrainian governmental officials and corruption investigators met with members of former President Obama’s National Security Council (NSC), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Department of State and Department of Justice (DOJ). Obama Administration officials also met with Alexandra Chalupa, a contractor for the DNC, who reportedly worked with Ukrainian officials to undermine the Trump campaign,” Grassley said in a news release.

Their letter, citing those reports, elaborated that in 2016, “some of Ukraine’s top corruption prosecutors and investigators [met] face to face with members of former President Obama’s National Security Council (NSC), FBI, State Department and Department of Justice (DOJ).”

Some of the meetings reportedly included Alexandra Chalupa, a contractor for the DNC. They said Chalupa, who is Ukrainian-American, has been accused of working with Ukrainian officials to undermine Trump’s 2016 campaign.

During the January 2016 meeting, the senators said that officials also brought up investigations into Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian gas firm that had hired Hunter Biden, who served as a board member.

The letter places focus on Andrii Telizhenko, a former official at the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington who has claimed to have witnessed alleged attempts between the DNC and the Ukrainian government.

“U.S. officials told the Ukrainians they would prefer that Kyiv drop the Burisma probe and allow the FBI to take it over,” he was quoted by the two senators as saying in their letter.

The senators are now requesting records about the five White House meetings listed in the letter and all records related to meetings between and among White House officials, Andrii Telizhenko, Nazar Kholodnytskyy, Oksana Shulyar, and Valeriy Chaly.

“Please provide these documents as soon as possible but no later than 5:00 p.m. on December 5, 2019,” the senators requested in the letter.

Hunter and Joe Biden are one of the key figures mentioned in the House Democrat-led impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump. Democrats have alleged that Trump...

Exclusive–Angel Mom ‘Permanently Separated’ from Son, Illegal Killer to Be Freed by Sanctuary California

Angel Mom Agnes Gibboney says the sanctuary state of California is set to re-traumatize herself and her family by freeing her son’s murderer, an illegal alien, from prison without turning him over to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency for deportation.

Gibboney — whose 29-year-old son Ronald Da Silva was killed by an illegal alien in 2002 in El Monte, California — is pleading with California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) to make sure that her son’s killer is turned over to ICE for deportation rather than being freed into the U.S.

The illegal alien killer had been previously deported from the U.S. and a year before murdering Silva was arrested for assault and domestic violence but was never deported.

In an exclusive with SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Tonight, Gibboney said the fact that her son’s killer is likely to be freed by California is unfair to legal immigrants and American citizens like her.

LISTEN:

“He is due to be released and my fear is because of [California’s] sanctuary state policy,” Gibboney said. “ICE is not going to be notified and he is not going to be picked up and he’s going to be released back into the community.”

“It’s really frustrating and I can honestly say that the initial loss of my son was incredibly traumatizing and this is the second traumatization that my local government is creating in my life,” Gibboney continued. “You know when I think about the illegal aliens saying that they’re going to sue our president or sue our government because they are distressed because they are in fear of getting caught by ICE, get out of here. So if they’re going to sue, what should I sue for?”

“My family has been damaged in the worst way possible,” Gibboney said. “We are permanently separated from my son. They get to visit, they get to see their families. This individual will get to see his family. I will never get to see my son again.”

Ronald de Silva, an American citizen, was murdered by an illegal alien in 2002 who is now set to be released by the sanctuary state of California this month. (Facebook)
Gibboney told Breitbart News that her son’s killer has classified himself as “transient” and thus if released into California will make it even more difficult for ICE agents to track him down for arrest and deportation.

“It’s mind-boggling. As a legal immigrant, where are the safety and protections for myself, for my family? I have to watch over my back every minute if this guy comes...

FLASHBACK: Obama Administration Pressured Ukraine to Drop Investigation of George Soros Group in 2016

The real Ukraine scandal involves the Democrats.

As House Democrats promulgate a fake Ukrainian crisis involving President Donald Trump, the evidence shows that members of the Obama administration are the ones who really ought to be investigated.

Investigative journalist John Solomon revealed earlier this year how the Obama administration used its power to coerce Ukraine into dropping an investigation of a George Soros front group in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election.

Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, who recently testified against President Trump before Congress, reportedly handed Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko a list of individuals who should not be prosecuted. It included the leader of the Anti-Corruption Action Centre (AntAC), which is a Soros-backed front group that was being investigated for the misappropriation of U.S. funds.

“At the time, Ms. Ambassador thought our interviews of the Ukrainian citizens, of the Ukrainian civil servants who were frequent visitors in the U.S. Embassy, could cast a shadow on that anti-corruption policy,” Lutsenko said.

“We ran right into a buzzsaw and we got bloodied,” a senior Ukrainian official said to Solomon about the entire affair.

Obama’s state department claimed that they were protecting a group that was promoting anti-corruption reforms, and denies any nefarious agenda behind their policy to protect the group. However, they did admit the peculiarity of the request.

“We’re not normally in the business of telling a country’s police force who they can and can’t pursue, unless it involves an American citizen we think is wrongly accused,” an official said.

The Obama administration’s policies were ultimately successful in protecting AntAC, which remains active to this day and continues to agitate on behalf of Soros in the Ukraine.

Solomon also noted that the Obama administration outsourced federal work to Soros groups. After the Obama Department of Justice (DOJ) announced their Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Initiative to supposedly root out corruption throughout the world, the FBI, DOJ and State Department brought Soros-backed groups on board as their partner.

AntAC has received $1 million of its $1.7 million annual budget through federal welfare. They also receive $290,000 annually from Soros’s International Renaissance Foundation. This is no secret collaboration, at least to observers in Ukraine. Prominent DOJ officials and FBI agents have regularly appeared at conferences and events sponsored by Soros.

New Emails Highlight Sham Clinton Investigation

Strzok-Page Emails Show Special Treatment of Clinton Email Witnesses

Do you remember all the cloak and dagger meetings in a parking garage in the movie about Watergate, “All the President’s Men?” Guess what. Barack Obama’s FBI was still looking for secret places to carry out their efforts to protect Hillary Clinton. Here’s a quote that would work on the big screen: “Is there an offsite somewhere in the DC area that might be better? If so, don’t tell me where it is.”

We read this in 35 pages of records of communications between former FBI official Peter Strzok and former FBI attorney Lisa Page that show the attorney representing three of Hillary Clinton’s aides met with senior FBI officials. We received the documents in response to our January 24, 2018, lawsuit filed after the Department of Justice failed to respond to a December 4, 2017, FOIA request (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-00154)).

Two March 2016 emails show then-FBI General Counsel James Baker and then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe had discussed meeting with attorney Beth Wilkinson, who was representing Clinton aides Cheryl Mills, Heather Samuelson, Jake Sullivan and Philippe Reines.

The FBI officials discussed holding “discreet” meetings with Wilkinson in secure locations that were set up to avoid any “stakeouts” by the press. (In a separate Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, U.S. District Court Judge Royce Lamberth said that he was “dumbfounded” that Cheryl Mills had been given immunity and was allowed to accompany former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to her FBI interview:
I had myself found that Cheryl Mills had committed perjury and lied under oath in a published opinion I had issued in a Judicial Watch case where I found her unworthy of belief, and I was quite shocked to find out she had been given immunity in — by the Justice Department in the Hillary Clinton email case. So I did not know that until I read the IG report and learned that and that she had accompanied the Secretary to her interview.
In an email exchange with Deputy Assistant Director in the Counterintelligence Division Jonathan Moffa, Strzok discusses Clinton aides’ laptops, and that Wilkinson said that the laptops in the FBI’s possession did not contain Clinton’s 60,000 emails. She also said that the two laptops that had them are the personal laptops of Mills and Samuelson that were still in use at that time.

Strzok and Page were lead investigators in the Clinton email and Russia collusion investigations. The newly released records include:

On March 1, 2016, an unidentified official from the FBI Office of General Counsel asks Baker if he’d had a chance to speak with Wilkinson, noting “CES [Counterespionage Section] wants to reach out to discuss scheduling additional interviews but wanted some feedback from you first.” Baker replies, “Just did… She appreciated the heads up about the pending press articles. She wants to meet with the DD [Deputy Director] but can only meet on the weekends right now. I will check his availability tomorrow.”

In a follow up email thread on March 4, Wilkinson tells Baker that she would be able to do the meeting with McCabe that day. Baker forwards the note to McCabe, saying “Andy, do you want to try to do this today?”, and copies numerous top FBI officials, including Michael Steinbach, Bill Priestap, Trisha Anderson, and Page. Page forwards the note to Strzok. Strzok then tells Page that he’s been “Talking to DOJ, they ([George] Toscas and CES) have strong opinions about it. Call me.” Page replies, “He’s not calling. Don’t worry about it.” Strzok then adds, “Also you need to know what [redacted] and she discussed. I can tell you over lunch…”

In a March 4, 2016, email with the subject line “Interview,” Baker emails the same top FBI officials, saying that he’s just spoken with Wilkinson and “I think we are now back on track. She is going to call [redacted] today or tomorrow about scheduling the next interview. Given the witness’s personal schedule, Beth said that it may not happen for a few weeks but she will work that out with [redacted]. We also discussed making sure that this is done in a secure location in a discreet way; she will work with [redacted] and the FBI team on that as well but I said that we will make sure that it happens in a high quality way.”

In a follow-up email sent only to Strzok, Baker writes, “She understands that it needs to be in a SCIF [Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility]. She seems more comfortable with NYFO [New York Field Office], but I think would be open to WFO [Washington Field Office] if she can get in and out in a discreet manner (i.e., no chance of a press stakeout or too many people in the office seeing them and having awareness of what is going on). Is there an offsite somewhere in the DC area that might be better? If so, don’t tell me where it is.”

On March 20, 2016, Strzok emails FBI Deputy Assistant Director Moffa, writing: “Big news of the day? Beth [presumably Wilkinson] said none of the laptops we have had the original 60k [presumably Hillary’s 60,000 emails]. The two that did were – and are – the personal laptops of Cheryl [Mills] and Heather [Samuelson]. [Redacted] That they are still using now. Funny that never cane [sic] up before now.” Strzok forwards this email with Moffa on to Page with the note: “My frustration.”

The new documents show Strzok expressing concern about the office of DNI using private email in an exchange containing information regarding a sensitive U.S.-European Community information sharing agreement. On January 31, 2016, Strzok writes: “GIVEN EVERYTHING GOING ON WHY IS [redacted] USING A YAHOO! ACCOUNT FOR THIS? [Emphasis in original] (Actually, apparently a Yahoo! account from [redacted] iPad”) Make him stop!!!!!!”

Page responds: “What do you want me to do?!”

Strzok replies, “I have no idea. It’s not clear what account [redacted] iPad used. [Redacted] at DNI is the one with the Yahoo! account. Maybe tell [redacted] with the IC IG [Intelligence Community Inspector General] investigating use of private servers and webmail, perhaps it’s not an opportune time for he/DNI staff to be doing the same? I don’t know.” (Judicial Watch had previously reported that FBI officials used unsecure devices in discussing how the U.S. could improve the sharing of sensitive data with the European Union top executive governing commission.)

In a February 29, 2016 email exchange Strzok tells Page he tried to reach “Bill” [presumably Strzok’s boss, Bill Priestap, Assistant Director of FBI Counterintelligence] to get him to pass some information to Baker but was unable to via email. Page says, “Just call him.” Strzok replies, “I can’t. This isn’t life or death and I need to give the chain of command a few minutes to work.” Further along, Page agrees, saying, “I totally get it. I completely hate this about our organization, but it is what it is. Np.” Strzok responds, “It’s necessary to have a chain of command and gatekeepers. Otherwise you’d have 790 idiots calling the GC, EADs, and DD every day.”

The FBI will continue producing Strzok-Page documents through 2021.

These documents show that the Hillary Clinton team had advocates at the top of the Obama FBI – no wonder their investigation of her was a sham. With explosive material such as this, no wonder the FBI is slow-rolling the release of Strzok-Page documents to us – wanting to wait until late 2021 to...

Rape spree by foreigners in Germany

In Düsseldorf, the German police arrested four foreign men who allegedly raped a 22-year-old woman. The incident had already occurred on Tuesday, according to the police.

The alleged rapists allegedly approached the woman on the street on Tuesday evening and said they wanted to take her home. Together they went to the Volksgarten, a park, where they allegedly sexually abused their victim. A witness alerted the police, who arrested a 32-year-old foreigner on the spot.

The investigation in recent days led to the arrest of more suspects. According to Düsseldorf police, one is an 18-year-old coloured Brazilian, a 21-year-old African from Angola and a 34-year-old Moroccan.

In recent weeks, similar cases made headlines. Last Saturday an Iranian and a Bulgarian sexually abused a 17-year-old girl in Chemnitz. In Ulm, the prosecutor is investigating five asylum seekers from Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran, who allegedly gang-raped in a 14-year-old girl.

In Paderborn, a city in the west of Germany, because of massive problems with foreigners, the two outdoor pools have had to be closed several times in the past summer. The city in North Rhine-Westphalia has however deliberately kept the incidents from the public and has only now admitted to the forced evictions, reported Radio Hochstift.

The Social Affairs Officer Wolfgang Walter spoke about it at the youth welfare committee: Scenes of violence, unhealthy situations and unsightly acts. There were almost daily incidents in the baths. They ranged from irreverent behavior towards security personnel to violent brawls.

According to city administration, there is a connection between the situation in the outdoor pools and the free admission for “young people” living on social welfare. The offer should be canceled and in the future only children under the age of 14 should receive free admission to the two bathing establishments.

Last summer, the Düsseldorf Rheinbad was cleared because of riots by mostly foreign youths. This case and similar situations in other swimming pools had triggered a debate on safety in bathing establishments.

Meanwhile, the series of rapes by foreigners has continued in southern Thuringia. Over the weekend, an Iranian attacked a 16-year-old girl in Meiningen. The police said on Monday, the victim was on her way home from a private party.

There, the girl and the Iranian had met shortly before. The man tried to physically approach the 16-year-old on the street, but she rejected him. “He did not let go of his plan, attacked her, pushed the girl to the ground and sexually abused her,” the police said...

BREAKING: White House Involved In Stunning Plot Of Murder And Bribery --- UPDATE: Never Mind. It Was During The Obama Administration. Deleting.

This is Satire.
U.S.—New documents have revealed the greatest presidential scandal in the history of our nation -- maybe even the world. The documents, obtained from a whistleblower, show that the White House was behind a series of murders of state and local officials and certain businessmen, all as part of a scheme to cover up bribes received by the president himself from such countries as Iran and North Korea.

This should not only lead to President Donald Trump being impeached but also to his arrest and perhaps his execution for treason. We will give you further details as they emerge.

UPDATE: On further analysis of the documents, the events in question actually took place in 2015 when Barack Obama was president. Since this doesn’t involve Trump and instead is just on some minor issue with Obama (who probably...

Fiona Hill Calls ‘Globalist’ Description “Anti-Semitic” Despite Writing For a Media Outlet Called ‘The Globalist’

Well, this is awkward.

During her testimony in the impeachment hearings this week, Fiona Hill dismissed charges she was a “globalist” by referring to the term as an “anti-Semitic” conspiracy theory, despite the fact that she writes for a publication literally called ‘The Globalist’.

Hill was responding to a question by Democratic Representative for Illinois Raja Krishnamoorthi, who quoted Hill’s earlier deposition in which she complained about Roger Stone labeling her “the globalist leftist [George] Soros insider.”

Hill claimed that “a conspiracy” had been launched against her and that ‘globalist’ was an anti-Semitic trope, while admitting that she was a “leftist maybe,” but implying she was not a globalist.

“This is the longest-running anti-Semitic trope that we have in history, and a trope against Mr Soros was also created for political purposes, and this is the new Protocols of The Elders of Zion,” Hill said.

This statement is somewhat at odds with Hill literally being a contributing writer for a publication called ‘The Globalist’.

Stone also previously asserted that Hill was was serving as George Soros’ “mole” under the supervision of...

How Republicans Won Phase One Of Impeachment

The first phase of impeachment did not go well for Democrats. It needed to be a time when support for the inquiry and impeachment grew. Instead, it shrank.

With the likely conclusion of Rep. Adam Schiff’s impeachment proceedings, it’s worth taking a step back and looking at how things went for the majority Democrats and minority Republicans on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

Democrats ideally would have started their inquiry with credible bipartisan support and run things in such a way that public opinion developed in their favor. Public opinion would build pressure on Republican members toward an impeachment vote that had even stronger bipartisan credibility.

That did not come even close to happening. To begin with, not only was the vote to begin proceedings not bipartisan, there was bipartisan opposition to it. Polling initially looked promising for impeachment, with media outlets attempting to claim significant bipartisan support for inquiry and removal, but then the polling moved in the wrong direction for Democrats.

Emerson polling showed that support for impeachment flipped since October from 48 percent support with 44 percent opposing to now 45 percent opposed and 43 percent in support. Among key independents, the switch was even more pronounced. In October, 48 percent supported impeaching President Donald Trump, with 39 percent opposed. Now, 49 percent of independents oppose impeachment, while only 34 percent support it.

A new Marquette University Law School poll found that 40 percent of registered voters in the swing state of Wisconsin think that Trump should be impeached and removed from office, while 53 percent do not think so. Another 6 percent weren’t sure.

A new Gallup poll shows that Trump’s approval has ticked up two points since the impeachment drama began, with 50 percent of Americans opposed to it and 48 percent in support. Henry Olsen notes that Gallup polls all adults, not just registered voters, meaning that a poll of registered voters would have Trump’s job approval even higher and impeachment opposed by closer to a 52-46 margin.

And not only are no Republicans expected to join with Democrats in an eventual impeachment vote, some members expect the bipartisan consensus against it to grow.

Republicans, by contrast, needed to aim for bipartisan opposition to the impeachment proceedings, keep their members in line, make the case that the impeachment proceedings lacked fairness, and that concern about Ukrainian corruption was legitimate. They managed to do all that.

Here’s why things went well for Republicans in phase one of impeachment.
It was completely unclear what crime, much less what high crime, Trump was accused of committing.

Before we get to the politics and how they were played by Republicans and Democrats, it should be noted that President Donald Trump has not been credibly accused of committing any crime, much less a high crime or misdemeanor. It’s almost shocking that Trump, of all people, keeps managing to do well on this score. Yet, as with the Russia collusion hoax, in which he was accused of being a traitor to his country, the lack of evidence for the charges against him is...
