It's not just senators in solid red states that are almost universilly worthless, it's also House reps as well. I've lived in 2 SOLID red districts, 1 in w Texas and 1 in n Arkansas. Both were so heavily Republican that the dems didn't even bother to run oppo in most elections. IOW these reps could have fought the good fight for us rubes and would not have lost any election.
But no, never once when 1 would raise issues like the insane deficit spending, illegal immigration or endless wars(to name a few) was I given anything more than hummahumma or some bullshit form letter that didn't come within a mile of addressing my concerns.
They're all in the pockets of Big Ag or Big Oil or Big Pharma, almost every last fucking one, both sides, both houses of Congress. Spewing out 2,000 page "bills" with so many provisions that we have not a damn clue about. There are a handfull of Rs that are solids, Josh Hawley, Clay Higgins come to mind.
Anyone that believes we have representation in DC is out of their mind. Well over half of this country, and there are plenty of not REgressives but just left of center folks that are with us on the 3 issues I laid out above, are totally ignored. And have been for all of my life.
