New group launches to warn young people about socialism

The popularity of socialism in the United States is on the rise, especially with young people.

A recent Gallup poll found 58 percent of Americans ages 18 to 34 think socialism is good for the country, and democratic socialist politicians like Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez enjoy broad support from millennial and Generation Z voters.

Morgan Zegers is determined to change their minds.

The 22-year-old Zegers recently founded a nonprofit organization called Young Americans Against Socialism, with the aim of using social media to expose the “failures of socialism” and make capitalism cool again.

“Socialism is such a threat to this country,” Zegers told Fox News. “It really troubles me.”

She added: "People in America don’t realize how good we have it. Sure we have some problems that need to be fixed, but socialism is not going to do that.”

As some of the biggest opponents to the rise in socialism include hardened Cold Warriors, Cuban expats and Republican lawmakers sounding the alarm about a fundamental shift in the country's economic philosophy, Zegers certainly breaks the mold.

The daughter of U.S. Army Col. Arthur Zegers IV, an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran, Zegers has been involved in politics since high school in upstate New York, where she became the youngest-known officer in the state’s Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies’ Auxiliary. During her time at American University in Washington, D.C., Zegers founded Zegers Freedom Flags, a small woodworking business that sells...

Experts: It May Be Too Late To Halt Climate Change Town Hall On CNN

U.S.—Experts solemnly warned the nation that it may be too late to stop the 7-hour climate change town hall scheduled to air on CNN tonight.

Despite humanity's best efforts to stall climate change town halls by long-winded, self-important politicians, the event appears to be rapidly approaching. No one has been able to come up with a plan to stop it, and now there's a scientific consensus that it's inevitable.

"We have reached the point of no return," said one expert grimly as he took a shot of something from a flask. "We have less than 12 hours before the Democrats do irreparable damage to our sanity by talking for seven full freakin' hours on television."

"The only thing we can do now is say goodbye to our loved ones," he added. "And maybe tune into something else, like HGTV or something. Anything."

Radical activists tried to distract the candidates to prevent the town hall from moving forward. One man left a wallet with some $20 bills sticking out of it in hopes that Bernie Sanders would get distracted. Another left a book of cool cuss words on a park bench, hoping that Beto O'Rourke would make a detour to pick it up. But all of these efforts have failed, and now the climate change town hall will affect everybody on the planet, or at least CNN's seven viewers.

The inescapable broadcast is expected to cause a sharp rise in unprovable claims, such as linking Hurricane Dorian to human activity. Scientists also predict a rapid surge of Prius purchases.

“We’ve been warning the public about this for years,” said Chuck Little, certified climate authority. “Can you believe some people still think public profiteering off trendy political footballs isn’t real? Deniers,” he scoffed.

Unhappy Vegan demands neighbor stop cooking barbecues

A Perth vegan has taken her neighbours all the way to the Supreme Court, demanding they stop smoking, bouncing balls and even cooking barbecues in the backyard.

Cilla Carden, from Girrawheen, in Perth's northern suburbs said she's fed up with the smell of meat cooking on the barbecue next door.

"They've put it there so I smell fish, all I can smell is fish. I can't enjoy my backyard, I can't go out there."

Ms Carden, a massage therapist, is also furious at cigarette smoke wafting into her yard and the sound of children playing with basketballs next door.

"It's been devastating, it's been turmoil, it's been unrest, I haven't been able to sleep," she said.

But one neighbour invited 9News into the backyard, to show that he's removed the barbecue and told his children to stop playing basketball.

Ms Carden is so upset she
has taken her neighbours to the State Administrative Tribunal and the Supreme Court.

"It's deliberate, that's what I told the courts, its deliberate."
But a Supreme Court Judge and the State Administrative Tribunal have sided with her neighbours, dismissing her case.

Her request to appeal the decisions has also been refused.

lhan Omar’s Husband Reportedly Says She Married Her Brother, Threatened Him, And Asked Him To Lie

Ilhan Omar’s husband Ahmed Hirsi, the father of her three children, is reportedly telling the truth about Omar’s deceptions.

According to Powerline, sources say Hirsi is now telling his friends that she did marry her brother Ahmed Elmi to commit fraud and that he will not go to jail for Omar.

Elmi has also reportedly threatened Hirsi that should he decide to say publicly what he knows he will be in trouble. Omar also reportedly asked Hirsi to lie and say their marriage is going well even though they are living apart and have been divorced under Islamic law.

Omar’s one-time “campaign muscle” was a former candidate for Minnesota State House and a Somali-born man convicted of stabbing several people named Guhaad Said.

Hirsi is still Omar’s legal husband, she married him legally after divorcing her brother Ahmed Elmi.

Omar was recently caught having an affair with political consultant Tim Mynett, when Mynett’s wife Beth Mynett revealed in her divorce filing that Omar is having an affair with her husband.

Hirsi’s humiliation by Omar’s affair may cause him to state publicly what he knows. Hirsi reportedly has trepidation that he too may be prosecuted should the truth of Omar’s fraud come into the public spotlight.

Independent journalist Laura Loomer helped bring the issue of Omar’s fraudulent marriage to many, and was publicly disparaged for doing so. Twitter banned Loomer for discussing Omar’s radical beliefs.

In addition to her extensive ties to violent Muslim radicals, Omar recently demanded that the United Nations take control of the U.S. border with Mexico. This terrible proposal would subject the United States to a similar process to the one that allowed Europe to become flooded with migrants from the middle East, including many...

Coming Soon to a Battlefield: Robots That Can Kill

Tomorrow’s wars will be faster, more high-tech, and less human than ever before. Welcome to a new era of machine-driven warfare.

Wallops island—a remote, marshy spit of land along the eastern shore of Virginia, near a famed national refuge for horses—is mostly known as a launch site for government and private rockets. But it also makes for a perfect, quiet spot to test a revolutionary weapons technology.

If a fishing vessel had steamed past the area last October, the crew might have glimpsed half a dozen or so 35-foot-long inflatable boats darting through the shallows, and thought little of it. But if crew members had looked closer, they would have seen that no one was aboard: The engine throttle levers were shifting up and down as if controlled by ghosts. The boats were using high-tech gear to sense their surroundings, communicate with one another, and automatically position themselves so, in theory, .50-caliber machine guns that can be strapped to their bows could fire a steady stream of bullets to protect troops landing on a beach.

The secretive effort—part of a Marine Corps program called Sea Mob—was meant to demonstrate that vessels equipped with cutting-edge technology could soon undertake lethal assaults without a direct human hand at the helm. It was successful: Sources familiar with the test described it as a major milestone in the development of a new wave of artificially intelligent weapons systems soon to make their way to the battlefield.

Lethal, largely autonomous weaponry isn’t entirely new: A handful of such systems have been deployed for decades, though only in limited, defensive roles, such as shooting down missiles hurtling toward ships. But with the development of AI-infused systems, the military is now on the verge of fielding machines capable of going on the offensive, picking out targets and taking lethal action without direct human input.

So far, U.S. military officials haven’t given machines full control, and they say there are no firm plans to do so. Many officers—schooled for years in the importance of controlling the battlefield—remain deeply skeptical about handing such authority to a robot. Critics, both inside and outside of the military, worry about not being able to predict or understand decisions made by artificially intelligent machines, about computer instructions that are badly written or hacked, and about machines somehow straying outside the parameters created by their inventors. Some also argue that allowing weapons to decide to kill violates the ethical and legal norms governing the use of force on the battlefield since the horrors of World War II.

But if the drawbacks of using artificially intelligent war machines are obvious, so are the advantages. Humans generally take about a quarter of a second to react to something we see—think of a batter deciding whether to swing at a baseball pitch. But now machines we’ve created have surpassed us, at least in processing speed. Earlier this year, for example, researchers at Nanyang Technological University, in Singapore, focused a computer network on a data set of 1.2 million images; the computer then tried to identify all the pictured objects in just 90 seconds, or...
