Re: the rats with Alzheimer's. People in low carb and keto community have been calling Alzheimer's "Type 3 diabetes" for at least a decade, maybe back to the 1990s.
If you want to look at nonsense health advice, start with Low Fat, and Dr. Ancel Keyes who started the whole cholesterol nonsense. Even he said dietary cholesterol didn't matter. That system is way too complex for a simple message like "cholesterol bad!" or even "LDL bad, HDL good!"
