I've been sounding off for years to buy local. But MM, W/M sells pork for 1/2 of what I would pay to a local rancher. Fact is, the local rancher's pigs have been raised "in the dirt" as mine tells me. His stock is not confined to cages all their lives, standing in feces and surrounded by flies.
When you get pork from a local rancher, you're getting the meat of 1 animal not upwards of 100s. You're getting the meat from an animal humanly slaughtered.
And finally, you're getting meat from an animal that has been fed a wholesome diet free of antibiotics(and now mRNA!). One way or another you're going to pay more for the meat you get at W/M. If you want to put a price on good health, congrats.
