In 2014 and again in 2016, the socialists announced they would create a 'blue wall' on the west coast. Having largely accomplished that (supermajorities in CA and WA), they have set to increasingly socialtist policies, regulations, and laws. The every increasing taxes (new the axes and higher tax rates) is part of the plan.
CA already is in open insurrection, but the fedgov has been loathe to do anything.
