Ninety miles from the South Eastern tip of the United States, Liberty has no stead. In order for Liberty to exist and thrive, Tyranny must be identified, recognized, confronted and extinguished.

A Domestic Terrorism Bill Only Antifa Could Love
This legislation is less about securing Americans from domestic terrorism, and more about propagandizing a dangerous narrative and enforcing a political bias in our counterterrorism efforts.
Moving swiftly on the wings of the violent disturbance on Capitol Hill on January 6, the newly sworn in Democratic-controlled 117th Congress is pushing a radical domestic terrorism bill that singles out “right-wing” terrorists and labels local law enforcement officials as potential terrorist threats.
Introduced by Senator Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) S.894 “The Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act” is a companion bill to House bill H.R. 1931 sponsored by Representative Bradley Schneider (D-Ill.). A version of that bill in the previous congress raised Republican ire after Democrats refused to accept any amendments that made reference to Antifa and left-wing terrorism.
The bill includes a long list of findings that reference terrorist acts allegedly committed by white supremacists or other “far-right” actors. It includes no reference to any other threats.
The legislation would create “domestic terrorism” units or offices in the Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, and the FBI as well as a domestic terrorism “executive committee” within the Department of Justice for coordination.
The legislation directs federal law enforcement and intelligence almost solely against perceived “far-right” threats, as the bill declares “far-right-wing extremists are the most significant domestic terrorism threat facing the United States” and then directs law enforcement to use “limited resources” only against the most “significant domestic terrorism threats.”
Currently the FBI does not classify terrorism as “far-right” or “far-left” but has categories such as “racially-motivated violent extremist” which includes both white supremacist and black-identity or black separatist ideologies. Similarly, an “anti-government” classification technically includes both militia groups commonly considered far-right as well as Antifa or other left-wing anarcho-Communist threats.
This attempt to cement a partisan bias into U.S. government terrorism doctrine is deeply worrisome.
Common Cause With Antifa
Perhaps even more concerning however, is the way Durbin’s bill enshrines into law anti-police talking points that may as well be straight out of an Antifa or Black Lives Matter pamphlet.
The legislation treats law enforcement and the U.S. military as though they are riddled with white supremacists and neo-Nazis and demands an annual assessment of the “infiltration of Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies and the uniformed service,” and targeted training to prevent such “infiltration.”
The idea that U.S. law enforcement is systemically white supremacist or cooperates with neo-Nazis is central to Antifa ideology, and based on the movement’s deep roots in the radicalism of 1970s and 80s New Left violence,
the same ideology which drives Antifa today, was that at its core the United States was founded on white supremacy, and therefore needs to be destroyed. Their “Cops and Klan Go Hand in Hand” slogan suggests there is no distinction between neo-Nazis and America’s institutions. We are already seeing efforts to conduct a purge of law enforcement who merely attended the January 6 “Save America” rally, even those who did not participate in any illegal activity. In some cases, Antifa has taken part in seeking to identify and dox police officers who attended.
In a political environment where an officer’s support for the sitting president is already being counted as evidence of extremism, instituting what is essentially a political commissariat to oversee law enforcement is likely to further accelerate a trend of...
Moderna CEO says the world will have to live with Covid ‘forever’
Stephane Bancel, CEO of Covid-19 vaccine maker Moderna, warned Wednesday that the virus will be around “forever.”
Public health officials and infectious disease experts have said there is a high likelihood that Covid-19 will become an endemic disease, meaning it will be present at all times, though likely at lower levels than it is now.
“SARS-CoV-2 is not going away,” Bancel said during a panel discussion at the JPMorgan Healthcare Conference.
The CEO of Covid-19 vaccine maker Moderna warned Wednesday that the coronavirus that has brought world economies to a standstill and overwhelmed hospitals will be around “forever.”
Public health officials and infectious disease experts have said there is a high likelihood that Covid-19 will become an endemic disease, meaning it will become present in communities at all times, though likely at lower levels than it is now.
Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel appeared to agree Wednesday that Covid-19 will become endemic, saying “SARS-CoV-2 is not going away.”
“We are going to live with this virus, we think, forever,” he said during a panel discussion at the JPMorgan Healthcare Conference.
Health officials will have to continuously watch for new variants of the virus, so scientists can produce vaccines to fight them, he said. Researchers in Ohio said Wednesday they’ve discovered two new variants likely originating in the U.S. and that one of them quickly became the dominant strain in Columbus, Ohio, over a three-week period in late December and early January.
Pfizer researchers said its vaccine developed with BioNTech appeared to be effective against a key mutation in the U.K. strain as well as a variant found in South Africa.
Moderna’s vaccine has been authorized by the Food and Drug Administration for use in Americans who are 18 years old and older. Additional studies still needed to be completed in children, whose immune systems can respond differently to vaccines than those of adults.
U.S. officials are racing to distribute doses of both vaccines, but it will likely take months before the U.S. can vaccinate enough people to achieve herd immunity, meaning the virus won’t have enough new hosts to...
‘Holy S**t!’: Critics Blast Louie Gohmert For ‘Encouraging More Uprisings,’ But He Was Quoting Pelosi
Republican Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert quoted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during Wednesday’s impeachment hearings, and critics immediately took his words out of context to attack him.
Gohmert drew a comparison between President Donald Trump’s words — which Democrats and several Republicans argue incited the violent riots at the Capitol a week prior — and Pelosi’s own words from a few years earlier, saying that if one was an incitement to violence the other was as well.
WATCH:“Here’s a quote. ‘I just don’t even know why there aren’t more — aren’t uprisings all over the country, and maybe there will be,'” Gohmert began, referencing Pelosi’s comments from 2018 with regard to the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Gohmert went on to argue that the rushed impeachment would only serve to destroy the institution Democrats claimed they were trying to uphold.
“Now the message is, if you have a whim and you want to just go after a president, just go straight to the floor. No investigation. No Judiciary Committee. Go straight to the floor. Use it as a political weapon, as you wish,” Gohmert said. “This is so dangerous, what you’re doing. Forgetting all the precedents. Yes, we can argue back and forth. But you’re using this as a weapon and you’re destroying this little experiment in self-government.”
But Gohmert’s critics went straight to Twitter to attack him, accusing him of saying the words he had correctly attributed to Pelosi.

Dan Crenshaw White Knights for Liz Cheney After Republicans Blast Her Support for Trump’s Second Impeachment
Liz Cheney, daughter of Dick, was one of ten GOP House members to vote “yes” on President Donald Trump’s unprecedented second impeachment. Then when some were calling on Cheney to resign over her disgraceful vote, Dan Crenshaw, who voted against impeachment, quickly came to her defense and announced his “full support” for her.
“Let’s get some truth on the record: @Liz_Cheney has a hell of a lot more backbone than most, & is a principled leader with a fierce intellect,” Crenshaw tweeted Wednesday afternoon. “She will continue to be a much needed leader in the conference, with my full support.”
“We can disagree without tearing each other apart,” he added.
Cheney’s vote comes as no surprise...
More Cancel Culture: Oil Industry Cutting Political Contributions Affecting Many Republicans
It seems everyone is jumping on the cancel bandwagon. The head of a top oil industry trade group said Wednesday that some energy companies have decided to stop making political donations after rioters attacked the U.S. Capitol last week.
Mike Sommers, President of the American Petroleum Institute, said the riots, which resulted in the deaths of five people, will factor into the American Petroleum Institute’s future decisions on donations as well. He did not name which companies have suspended political contributions.
As the U.S. House of Representatives is set to impeach Trump for inciting the riot at the Capitol last Tuesday, companies are scrambling to separate themselves from anything or anyone who supports Trump.
“Our first rule is to support candidates and members of congress and senators that support the oil and gas industry,” Sommers said in a press call, where he discussed API’s outlook for 2021. “But just like previous iterations of our past giving, other factors come into effect as well and this will be among those factors that we consider.”
The oil industry is not alone in suspended political donations. Walmart Inc and Walt Disney Co have also suspended donations to politicians who objected to the certification of the electoral vote at the joint session of Congress last week.
U.S. oil giant Chevron said Tuesday it was reviewing donations.
“I specifically asked my team to take a look at...
