Trump Administration Hits Iran With Major New Sanctions, Retaliates for Missile Strike

Speaking from the White House Friday morning, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin announced new sanctions on sectors of the Iranian economy and Iranian officials. The sanctions, which are part of the administration's ongoing maximum pressure campaign, are aimed at stopping Iranian terrorism and preventing the regime from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

"The President has been very clear, we will continue to apply economic sanctions until Iran stops its terrorist activities and commits to never having a nuclear weapon," Mnuchin said.

The new sanctions apply to the steel and textile industries, in addition to 17 Iranian metals producers and mining companies. Eight Iranian officials involved in the Iranian armed forces, the Basic militia and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps have been directly targeted sanctioned for involvement in terrorism, slaughtering innocent Iranian protestors in the streets and for launching the missile attack against U.S. troops stationed at Al Asad airbase in Iraq earlier this week.

"They had the full intention of killing U.S. forces," Pompeo said about the missile attack, which was launched in retaliation for the killing of Iranian terrorist leader Qassem Soleimani. "As long as Iran's outlaw ways continue, we will continue to impose sanctions."

"We're striiking at the heart of the Iranian regime's inner security apparatus," he continued. "The goal of our campaign is to deny Iran resources for its destructive foreign policy."

When asked about the imminence of attacks against U.S. Embassies or other American targets in the region from Soleimani, Pompeo again explained the threat and why he was taken off of the battlefield.

"It was very clear Qassem Soleimani was planning broad attacks against Americans," he said. "There was an imminent attack, there was active plotting."

In addition, President Trump has signed an executive order that "targets additional sources of revenue used by the Iranian regime to fund and support its nuclear program, missile development, terrorism and...

Forrmer FBI Unit Chief confirms government computer intrusion approved by Rod Rosenstein against Attkisson

Attorney and former FBI Unit Chief Les Szwajkowski confirms he facilitated forensic exam that revealed government surveillance spyware in Attkisson’s computer

As part of a new lawsuit, Attkisson v. Rosenstein et.al., former FBI Unit Chief Les Szwajkowski has signed a sworn Affidavit confirming the government intrusion into journalist Sharyl Attkisson’s computers.

Szwajkowski headed up the FBI’s Electronic Surveillance Technology section. He was integral in implementing a law expanding the FBI’s wiretapping capabilities.

According to Szwajkowski, a colleague first contacted him in Fall 2012 to ask for assistance in getting Attkisson’s CBS computer analyzed for possible anomalies. Szwajkowski says he met Attkisson in January 2013 and had her computer examined by a confidential source: a forensic specialist trained in spyware detection. This specialist reportedly had access to information about government intrusion tools and technology.

The specialist quickly identified spyware proprietary to the federal government in Attkisson’s computer, according to Szwajkowski. He advised Attkisson that he and his intel associates were “shocked” that the government had used covert surveillance on a national journalist and he said they thought it was “outrageous.”

Szwajkowski says he reported to Attkisson that the analysis showed clear evidence that her computer was infiltrated with government spyware proprietary to the CIA, FBI or National Security Agency (NSA). Forensics indicated the particular intrusion uncovered by the analysis was accomplished through software attached to an otherwise innocuous email sent to Attkisson in February 2012.

The government intrusion of Attkisson’s computer was “redone” in July 2012 though use of a BGAN satellite terminal and “refreshed” at a later date using WiFi within a Ritz-Carlton hotel. The unauthorized programs were running constantly on Attkisson’s CBS laptop and included a keystroke program that monitored everything typed on the computer, every site visited, and remotely accessed the computer’s screen view.

Les Szwajkowski, former FBI Unit Chief, Affidavit in Attkisson v. Rosenstein, et. al.
Attkisson is suing former U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein for allegedly ordering the illegal surveillance on her and her family without going through the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court. She is also suing four former government agents allegedly implicated in the scheme. Numerous other Americans were also reportedly targeted by...

President Trump Touts New Rule as Way to Build and Improve Roads, Bridges Faster

President Donald Trump announced a new administration policy Thursday to boost the nation’s infrastructure without spending more tax dollars.

The administration proposed a new rule under existing law to expedite environmental reviews, cutting the length of review by more than half of the average of five-to-seven years per project.

The law, called the National Environmental Policy Act, has long stalled major construction for highways and bridges.

“From Day One, my administration has made fixing this regulatory nightmare a top priority, and we want to build new roads, bridges, tunnels, [and] highways bigger, better, faster, and we want to build them at less cost,” Trump said at the White House.

The Trump administration has pushed an aggressive deregulatory agenda, and the president often has talked about streamlining environmental reviews.

The administration contends that “modernizing” environmental reviews likely would lower costs for state and local road projects.

“That is why, for the first time in over 40 years, today we are issuing a proposed new rule under the National Environmental Policy Act to completely overhaul the dysfunctional bureaucratic system that has created these massive obstructions,” Trump said.

Since President Jimmy Carter signed the measure into law in 1978, the Council on Environmental Quality has made just one substantive amendment to related regulations—in 1986, according to the White House.

On average, it takes five years to complete an environmental impact statement for a project, and seven years for highways.

“The United States will not be able to compete and prosper in the 21st century if we continue to allow a broken and outdated bureaucratic system to hold us back from building what we need. The roads, airports, schools...

As Part Of Settlement With Nick Sandmann, CNN Hosts Must Wear MAGA Hats During All Broadcasts

ATLANTA, GA—According to a report, as part of the settlement with Nick Sandmann, CNN hosts will be required to wear MAGA hats throughout every broadcast.

"Let the punishment fit the crime," counsel for Sandmann said as Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo, Anderson Cooper, and Wolf Blitzer all solemnly donned Make America Great Again caps.

Hosts were seen with downcast expressions as they commented on the day's events, MAGA hats in place.

Sandmann says the hosts will be forced to wear the hats until they've learned their lesson, which could take a while. "Just be careful you don't make an expression some could construe as 'smug.' Wouldn't want you to get punched or your lives to get ruined, or anything like that."

CNN hosts must also finish every broadcast by saying, "Good night, and I am a big, fat dummy, while Trump is the best president we've ever had."

Brian Stelter requested an exemption and was allowed to wear a...

In 2019 Over 90% of Illegal Aliens Arrested in U.S. Had Criminal Convictions Or Pending Charges

More than 90% of illegal immigrants arrested by federal agents in the United States last year had criminal convictions or pending criminal charges, including 56,000 assaults and thousands of sex crimes, robberies, homicides and kidnappings. Many had “extensive criminal histories with multiple convictions,” according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) year-end report. The 123,128 illegal aliens arrested by the agency’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in 2019 had 489,063 criminal convictions and pending charges, representing an average of four crimes per alien, highlighting the “recidivist nature” of the arrested aliens, the agency writes, noting that sanctuary cities nationwide greatly impeded its public safety efforts.

The Dallas ICE field office, which covers north Texas and Oklahoma, led the way with 16,900 arrests in fiscal year 2019. The overwhelming majority,12,578, were convicted of crimes and 3,499 had pending criminal charges. The Atlanta field office, which is responsible for enforcing immigration law in Georgia as well as South and North Carolina, ranked second with 13,247 arrests, 8,009 of them convicted for state crimes. Another 3,943 illegal aliens had pending criminal charges. Atlanta field office leadership has repeatedly blasted local law enforcement officials within its jurisdiction for releasing droves of illegal immigrant criminals back onto the streets after being jailed for serious state crimes, accusing the sanctuary jurisdictions of creating a “serious public safety threat.”

In North Carolina alone, hundreds of violent criminals were released by local authorities last year to honor measures that offer illegal immigrants sanctuary. Among them were illegal aliens charged with serious violations such as homicide, kidnapping, arson and sex offenses. Mecklenburg County, the state’s largest, was among the biggest offenders, releasing numerous violent criminals rather than...
