I have no problem with the Federal Govt shutting down due to money. What it means is about 40% of the Federal Govt does not report to work but the rest works. Money still goes out to the people that needs it.
That's not how it works. The 40% that don't work are still getting paid; they just won't receive until the gov't opens again. They will not lose any money from not working - it's just like a vacation to them.
