I had those exact items. That set up suffered from a lack of voltage control. Several times I burned out the headlight bulb from going too fast. I had a Motobecane Nomad. What a bike!

I owned and used one, until I found a battery powered light was brighter and didn’t depend on how fast I rode.

Dang you guys must have grown up with money. We used playing cards and a clothes pin to make a noise on our back tires.
