IRS Whistleblowers: Biden DOJ Interfered in Hunter Biden Tax Probe, Blocked Two Search Warrants, Tipped Off Biden’s Legal Team
Newly released whistleblower documents reveal that federal prosecutors repeatedly interfered on Hunter Biden’s behalf during the probe into the younger Biden’s business dealings.
House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith on Thursday released five documents that include the testimonies of two IRS whistleblowers, as well as supplemental affidavits and memos detailing alleged efforts to politically interfere with the probe.
The whistleblowers testified that from 2014-2019, Hunter Biden personally received 8.3 Million Dollars from Ukraine, China, and Romania and didn’t pay taxes on the income, but the Biden Department of Justice attempted to block the IRS agents investigating the tax violations. In total, Hunter Biden and associates received $17.3 million from the three countries, according to the whistleblowers.
He alleged that career prosecutors originally intended to charge Hunter Biden with numerous tax violations dating back to 2014, but the sweeping indictment was thwarted by appointees of Joe Biden.
In the end, Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to just two federal misdemeanor counts of failing to pay his taxes, and was spared prison time.
“Hunter Biden profited off his father’s name,” Rep. Smith tweeted Thursday. “He didn’t report millions of dollars in income from foreign sources. Any ordinary American caught doing that would have faced severe consequences.”
The whistleblowers’ testimony also confirms that the government had evidence that Joe Biden met with his son’s Chinese business partners.
Both whistleblowers faced retaliation for telling the truth.
“I am blowing the whistle because the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Office, Department of Justice Tax, and Department of Justice provided preferential treatment and unchecked conflicts of interest in an important and high-profile investigation of the President’s son, Hunter Biden,” Shapley told lawmakers.
By June of 2020, the whistleblowers said it was apparent that career prosecutors were “slow-walking” the investigation.
According to the whistleblower, Leslie Wolf, assistant U.S. Attorney working on the case in Delaware, rejected the warrant for Joe Biden’s home in December 2020, out of concern for “the optics.”
“The decision was whether the juice was worth the squeeze And also a statement made here was that she said that, well, we had to consider the optics of doing a search warrant on, you know, Hunter Biden’s residence and/or the guest house of President Biden,” he recounted. “She further states about the guest house of Joe Biden that there was no way we’d get that approved,” he added.
Later, when agents sought a search warrant for Hunter Biden’s storage locker, prosecutors tipped off Biden’s legal team.
Shapley said these decisions were unprecedented in his many years as an IRS agent.
“So it was off the table. And that was even after the election. So there’s many things. Any other case I ever worked, if they were like there’s a storage unit with documents from the business and personal documents in relation to the years under investigation — the risk was zero, because it’s on a storage unit, it’s not on a residence — there’s no prosecutor I’ve ever worked with that wouldn’t say, go get those documents,” he added.

Media accounts compared Biden and Lula who had both faced mass public protests over their stolen elections. Biden had been one of the first to congratulate Lula on his stolen election and invited him to the White House despite the Brazilian Marxist’s longtime enmity to America.
The Biden administration and the media had worked hard to bring Lula to power despite the fact that he was an ally of geopolitical enemies like Xi in China and Putin in Russia.
Lula’s most significant statement was a call to end the use of the dollar as an international currency. And this was not just talk. In March, Brazil agreed to use the Chinese Yuan currency for its purchases.
The Financial Times however reveals the shocking extent of Biden’s illegal coup in Brazil.
The fact that the election was not seriously challenged is a testament to the strength of Brazil’s institutions. But it was also in part the result of a quiet, year long pressure campaign by the US government to urge the country’s political and military leaders to respect and safeguard democracy, which has not been widely reported.This is predictably titled as “defending democracy”: a euphemism that has come to mean protecting and installing leftist regimes by any means necessary whether in America or abroad.
The Financial Times has spoken to six former or current US officials involved in the effort, as well as to several key Brazilian institutional figures, to piece together the story of how the Biden administration engaged in what one former top state department official calls a “very unusual” messaging campaign in the months leading up to the vote, using both public and private channels.
“Very unusual”. Is that what we’re calling masterminding pro-China coups in South America now?
The solution was a concerted but unannounced campaign across multiple branches of the US government, including the military, the CIA, the state department, the Pentagon and the White House. “This was a very unusual engagement,” says Michael McKinley, a former top state department official and ex-ambassador to Brazil.
So they’ve decided to go with the “very unusual” brand. We very unusually overthrow a pro-American government and installed a leftist criminal allied with China and Russia. How unusual this is. Brazilian truckers patriotically protested our coup and we very unusually suppressed them.
Just another day of very unusually defending democracy from the voters.
The effort began, according to former top state department official Tom Shannon, with the visit of Biden’s national security adviser Jake Sullivan to Brazil in August 2021. An embassy statement said the visit “reaffirmed the longstanding strategic relationship between the United States and Brazil” but Sullivan left his meeting with Bolsonaro worried, according to Shannon.
“Bolsonaro continued to talk about fraud in US elections and continued to understand his relationship with the United States in terms of his relationship with President Trump”, says Shannon, who is also a former US ambassador to Brazil and maintains close contacts in the country.
So Biden’s people came away believing that Bolsnaro was more pro-Trump than pro-Biden. Time for a “very unusual” coup to “defend democracy”.

DOJ loses bid to move Michael Flynn malicious prosecution suit to DC
Earlier this year, Flynn filed a $50 million claim against the government for malicious prosecution in connection with the now-thoroughly debunked Trump-Russia collusion hoax.
A federal judge has rejected the Department of Justice's request to move legal proceedings over former Trump National Security Advisor Michael Flynn's malicious prosecution claims to Washington, D.C.
"In sum, the Court concludes that the interests of justice weigh against transfer of this case to the DDC. Plaintiff is entitled to seek redress in his home forum, and Defendant’s Motion presents no overwhelming need to disturb that choice," wrote District Judge Mary Scriven in a June 12 order. "The only party who would clearly be inconvenienced by relocation of this action to the DDC is Plaintiff, who would be forced to litigate outside of his home state. The Government is not over burdened by litigating here."
Earlier this year, Flynn filed a $50 million claim against the government for malicious prosecution in connection with the now-thoroughly debunked Trump-Russia collusion hoax. Flynn brought the case in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida's Tampa Division. He is a Florida resident.
Flynn briefly served as former President Donald Trump's national security advisor, but quickly became the subject of FBI scrutiny as part of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation. A retired three-star general, Flynn initially pleaded guilty to a charge of lying to the FBI but requested to withdraw the plea in light of the emergence of exculpatory evidence showing the bureau did not believe he had lied to its agents. Moreover, said agents actively tried to shutter the case against him, but were overruled by their superiors.
The DOJ ultimately asked that the charges against him be dismissed and Flynn received a presidential pardon.
In filing his original claim, Flynn and attorney Jesse Binnall argued that the case against him was politically motivated.
"Flynn was the target of a politically motivated investigation and prosecution that had no merit when it began, no merit during its course, and no merit in the end when the charges were withdrawn by the DOJ and ultimately dismissed by the Court after Flynn received a full pardon," the original filing claimed.
