When Novak first came up on my radar screen in the late 00s, he really came off as a punk. I saw him in Australia in 2008 win his first GS and remember thinking it was kinda a shame that both he and Tsonga couldn't lose the final.
Man, he has really matured over the years. He's a solid husband, father and a truly great tennis player.
The fact the ATP didn't back Novak shows how fookin' useless they are. No one that I heard about stepped up and said if Novak doesn't get to play, I'm not either. If a dozen of the top players had acted in unison, this bullshit would have stopped dead. Nadal winning that Open that barred Djokovic should forever have an asterick explaining the World's #1 player was not allowed to compete.
