Obama’s IRS Appointee Scheduled WH Visit 1 Day After IRS Meeting on Tea Party

(CNSNews.com) – One day after an Aug. 4, 2011 meeting of IRS officials who gathered to discuss the handling of Tea Party tax-exemption applications, an appointment was made for William J. Wilkins, head of the IRS Chief Counsel’s office and one of only two political appointees there, to meet at the White House.

Four days later, on Aug. 9, 2011, Wilkins kept that appointment, according to White House visitor records.

The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) report on IRS scrutiny of Tea Party groups released in May of this year, states that on Aug. 4, 2011, officials from the IRS Chief Counsel’s office and the Rulings and Agreements office met to discuss the agency’s handling of Tea Party applications, “so that everyone would have the latest information on the issue.”
During a House Oversight Committee hearing on July 18, 2013, Carter Hull, an IRS employee of 48 years and expert in nonprofit tax law who had been assigned Tea Party applications since April 2010, testified that he attended a meeting in August 2011 where employees of the Chief Counsel’s office were present. At that meeting, they discussed the handling of Tea Party tax-exemption applications.

“In August 2011, I attended a meeting at which the applications assigned to me were discussed,” said Hull in his prepared testimony. “I recall that Don Spellman, David Marshall, and Amy Franklin from Chief Counsel’s Office were at the meeting, as well as tax law specialists Justin Lowe, Hillary Goehausen and Ms. Kastenberg.”

“I recall that Ms. Franklin or someone else from Chief Counsel’s Office stated that more current information was needed for my [Tea Party] applications and that a second development letter should be sent to the applicants,” said Hull. “I also recall a discussion about the creation of a template development letter for the Tea Party applications. I expressed my opinion that a template was not a good idea, as there was a great deal of variance among the groups and each application needed to be developed according to its particular facts and circumstances.”

“After the August 2011 meeting, the [Tea Party] applications assigned to me were transferred to another tax law specialist, Ms. Goehausen,” said Hull. “After the applications were transferred, I had no further involvement with respect to the Tea Party applications.”

The TIGTA report lists an Aug. 4, 2011 meeting and also one on Aug. 10, 2011 but the event description for the latter is redacted. The report does not name the persons who attended the Aug. 4 meeting, and the IRS has said that Wilkins was not at that meeting.

Nonetheless, White House visitor access records show that on Aug. 5, 2011, an appointment was made for William J. Wilkins to meet, on Aug. 9, 2011, with Jamal Pope, who is special assistant for White House Initiatives at the Department of Commerce.

The records show that Wilkins was there on Aug. 9, arriving at 7:56 a.m. and then departing at 12:21 p.m.

When asked in May of this year if the subject of the Aug. 4, 2011 IRS meeting on Tea Party scrutiny was then communicated to the White House, Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters, “I’ll have to look at that. I don’t know that that’s the case. … The president found out about this through media reports on Friday. That’s how I found out about it."

"The White House Counsel’s Office was notified a few weeks ago, through the Treasury Department, about the Inspector General’s review and that it was coming to a conclusion," said Carney. "And that is a fairly routine matter, when an Inspector General review is being concluded and will be made public, that there is a notification.”

IRS official Lois Lerner at a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, where she pleaded the 5th Amendment against self-incrimination.

Carter Hull started working at the IRS in 1965. He has served in the office of Exempt Organizations (EO) since 1975 and he just retired on June 28, 2013. He is an expert on non-profit tax rules.

In his prepared testimony for the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Hull said his supervisor in April 2010 assigned him to work on “two applications from Tea Party groups” as “test cases” for handling other Tea Party applications that had been assigned to IRS workers in Cincinnati.

Hull worked in Washington, D.C.
After analyzing the applications he had, Hull made his recommendations for how such applications should be handled and passed his analysis to his reviewer, Elizabeth Kastenberg. “[S]he suggested that I forward the recommendations to Judy Kindell, who was at the time a senior technical adviser to Lois Lerner. I later had a meeting with Ms. Kindell and Ms. Kastenberg in March 2011 at which Ms. Kindell told me to forward my recommendations to the Office of Chief Counsel for their review.”

Lois Lerner, now on paid administrative leave, was the director of the EO division at the IRS. She pleaded the 5th Amendment against self-incrimination before Congress and her lawyer says she will testify if she is given immunity from potential prosecution.

While working on the Tea Party documents, “at the request of my supervisor, I prepared Sensitive Case Reports on a monthly basis regarding the Tea Party applications,” Carter Hull said in his testimony.

In addition, “in the summer of 2011, I recall attending two meetings related to the Tea Party applications,” said Hull. “I attended a meeting at which Ms. [Lois] Lerner, Ms. Paz, Mr. Seto, Ms. Kindell, Ms. Kastenberg, and someone from the Chief Counsel’s office was present. Ms. Lerner led the meeting, and she instructed everyone that the applications should be referred to as ‘advocacy’ applications and not ‘Tea Party’ applications. In August 2011, I attended a meeting at which the applications assigned to me were discussed.”
That was the meeting, said Hull, where at least three people from the Chief Counsel’s office were present, along with tax specialists Justin Lowe, Hillary Goehausen and Kastenberg.

The IRS Chief Counsel’s office, headed by Wilkins, wanted more information collected relative to the Tea Party applications.

Ronald Shoemaker, who supervised Hull, told investigators for the House Oversight Committee about the interest of the IRS Chief Counsel’s office in the 2010 political, election activity of Tea Party applicants.

As the Committee revealed in a July 17 letter, Shoemaker said, “Counsel was not very forthcoming on what their opinion was. But we discussed it to some extent and they indicated that they wanted more development of possible political activity or political intervention right before the election period; that that had not occurred and that that’s what was missing. … Of [redacted] right before the election period. In other words, immediately before.”

In the November 2010 election, the Republican Party won control of the House of Representatives and John Boehner of Ohio became the new Speaker of the House.

Resist Incremental Reductions In Freedom Of Speech...

During an interview with the State Journal-Register in Illinois, William Ayers, one of the founders of the Weather Underground, who launched President Obama’s political career at his Chicago home, insisted he was “absolutely not” a domestic terrorist.

But that’s not what the Federal Bureau of investigations (FBI) insists.

According to declassified FBI reports on the Weather Underground, reports that the mainstream press ignored and were public prior to the 2008 presidential elections, in the section entitled, “A Byte Out of History: 1975 Terrorism Flashback: State Department Bombing:” the FBI wrote:

Twenty-nine years ago Thursday, an explosion rocked the headquarters of the U.S. State Department in Washington, D.C. No one was hurt, but the damage was extensive, impacting twenty offices on three separate floors. Hours later, another bomb was found at a military induction center in Oakland, California, and safely detonated. A domestic terrorist group called the Weather Underground claimed responsibility. Remember them? (emphasis mine)

Who were these extremists? The Weather Underground—originally called the Weathermen, taken from a line in a Bob Dylan song—was a small, violent offshoot of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), created in the turbulent ‘60s to promote social change.

When the SDS collapsed in 1969, the Weather Underground stepped forward, inspired by communist ideologies and embracing violence and crime as a way to protest the Vietnam War, racism, and other left-wing aims. “Our intention is to disrupt the empire...to incapacitate it, to put pressure on the cracks,” claimed the group’s 1974 manifesto, Prairie Fire. By the next year, the group had claimed credit for 25 bombings and would be involved in many more over the next several years.

Moreover, Ayers is at best exceptionally disingenuous when he falsely claimed in theState-Journal Register interview: “We never hurt anybody and we never killed anybody.”

As the FBI reports: “The FBI doggedly pursued these terrorists as their attacks mounted. Many members were soon identified, but their small numbers and guerilla tactics helped them hide under assumed identities. In 1978, however, the Bureau arrested five members who were plotting to bomb a politician’s office. More were arrested when an accident destroyed the group’s bomb factory in Hoboken, New Jersey. Others were identified after two policemen and a Brinks’ driver were murdered in a botched armored car robbery in Nanuet, New York ... " (Italics mine)

There are people, like Ayers, who seem to believe that despite the facts they can rewrite history, and with a complacent media, he might have been successful but not anymore. What is new about Ayers is his rhetoric. Still a hard-core anti-capitalist and admitted communist with a small ‘c’, Ayers has dropped some of his Weather Underground rhetoric such as not calling police officers “pigs” in public anymore but that does not mean President Obama’s family friend is not as the FBI determined him to be-- a domestic terrorist.

Marches Planned Today To Protest The Lack Of Freedom To Beat Down Self Identifying Hispanics With Impunity

Apparently cultural differences are not allowing black males to get high on purple drank and beat down self identifying hispanics with impunity.

Cultural imperialists insist on smothering their values on black males earnestly trying to prove their gangsta cred.  Who are we to judge?

The justice system is flawed when they allow hispanics to defend themselves against brutal attacks.  Most attack victims get taken to the emergency room in a luxury ambulance, get free time off of work and get to see relatives they have not seen in months or years.  This works out for everyone.  Now occasionally someone does die...well people die every day, a meteor could come down and kill you, or a lighting bolt, or a race rio...errr... a tiger.

Look at the pictures of Reginald Denny on the right, he recovered nicely, got famous and got free time off from work.

Is Democratic Congressman Bobby Rush Clinically a Retard?

“Train wreck” has become so synonymous with Obamacare that it’s strange to hear it applied to anything else, but Rep. Bobby Rush’s appearance on “Hannity” tonight alongside Rep. Steve King really couldn’t be described any other way. Rush, who famously wore a hoodie on the House floor to make a speech against racial profiling, couldn’t provide any evidence to prove that Trayvon Martin was racially profiled, but — “There is evidence that he’s dead,” Rush clarified.

12 Year Old White Girl Brutally Attacked By African Refugees For Not Becoming Their Girl Friend

Manchester, NH. 12 year old white girl doesn't wanna be their girlfriend so black boys destroy her jaw and knock her teeth out: "...My (White) 12 year old daughter brutally attacked by (African) refugee boys at school
The arguments between my daughter and these boys started with a couple of the boys asking Morgan to be their girlfriend. When Morgan turned them down, they retaliated by calling her names like "fat ho, lesbian b**ch, c**t, etc..." this goes on for about a month before the first assault on the bus occurs. The boys are refugees brought over from Kenya and Ethiopia. Morgan was brutally attacked. First elbowed in the face, followed by 6 to 7 punches knocking her front teeth out and leaving her with a concussion. It took four teachers to get one of the boys off her..."

Look how they carefully avoid the racial issue in the news report and the fact that all of the attackers were black(Kenyan, Somalian immigrants - asylum seekers), they call it simply "bullying". If the roles were reversed then it would be on national TV.

Her mother is outraged by the lack of response from school officials and opened her own blog

13 Year Old Girl Kidnapped And Raped By Ten Illegal Immigrants

AUSTIN -- As many as 10 Illegal Immigrants allegedly took turns sexually assaulting a 13-year-old runaway Texas girl in an apartment where some cheered and filmed the attacks with their cellphone cameras, according to court records released Thursday.
Austin police answered a call to the Avalon Palms apartment complex at Rundberg and Northgate.
Detectives say the girl ran away from her group home, Settlement Home for Children, on June 30, and got into a car with three strangers.
According to an arrest affidavit, they took her inside an apartment and raped her. She says a group of 10 men cheered and filmed the assault with cellphones. Then, each one took turns assaulting her. It lasted from 10 p.m. into the early morning hours the following day.

She says the men then dumped her off on the side of the road.
Some neighbors say they're not surprised about the incident with all the gang and drug activity in the area.

"They need to be locked up," said David Green, who lives nearby. "She's only 13. She didn't have a chance to grow up. She's going to be traumatized for the rest of her life."

A medical exam confirmed the trauma to the teen's body matches her story.
Juan Lozano Ortega, 25, and Edgar Gerardo Guzman Perez, 26, were charged Wednesday with aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first degree felony. If convicted, they face up to life in prison.
They were being held Thursday in the Travis County Jail on $30,000 bond each. Court and jail records did not indicate whether the men had attorneys.
Investigators found Ortega and Perez because one of them let the girl borrow their cellphone after dropping her off in a neighborhood and telling her to "find somewhere to go," according to the court documents. The victim called her foster brother, who refused to come pick her up, but his caller ID captured the number of the suspect's phone.
Police are looking for more men in addition to the two arrested.
WFAA sister station KVUE is working to find out why the girl ran away from Settlement Home for Children. Neither Austin police nor the home will comment. Settlement Home for Children is a residential treatment center located in North Austin. It helps girls ages seven to 18 who have been been abused and neglected.
State child welfare investigators have also started investigating the Settlement Home for Children, where the girl lived, said Patrick Crimmins, spokesman for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

10 Curious Tales and Oddities From History

What could be better? The bizarre and history combined in one list! It is a well known fact that I love both subjects (and facts and factlets), so this list really has been a joy to put together. Once you are done reading be sure to mention any other oddities we may not know in the comments and perhaps they will appear on a forthcoming follow up list.
La Reverte
In 1900, Maria Salome (20 years old) made her grand debut as the first female bullfighter. Over the years she became incredibly popular and gained great acclaim for her achievements. Because of her popularity, the Spanish government deemed it immoral for a woman to be a bullfighter so they outlawed it. This did not concern Maria (also known as La Reverte) – in public she pulled off her wig and announced to the world that she was, in fact, a man. Agustin Rodigriquez’s (Maria’s real name) announcement backfired – instead of continuing on as a popular bullfighter, the Spanish people hated him for having tricked them. Needless to say this ended his career.
Curious Death
Joao Paulo I 05
When Pope Paul VI died, in 1978, it was the mark of the beginning of the year of three Popes. Albino Luciani was elected to succeed him and he chose as his regnal name Pope John Paul I. Curiously, upon his election he told his housekeeper that he would not reign for long. Thirty-three days later he died. The Vatican reported that the near-66-year-old Pope most likely died the previous night of a heart attack. It has been claimed that the Vatican altered some of the details of the discovery of the death to avoid possible unseemliness in that he was discovered by Sister Vincenza, a nun. An autopsy was not performed which, along with inconsistent statements made following the Pope’s death, led to a number of conspiracy theories concerning it. These statements relate to who found the Pope’s body, the time when he was found, and what papers were in his hand. Many believe that John Paul I was murdered either by communists (for planning to resume the traditionally strong stand against it) or freemasons (believed to have infiltrated the Church to its highest echelons).
Too hot to Handle
Speaking of strange deaths, in 1979, a 58 year old man and his 53 year old wife died from spending too much time in their hot tub in California. Both had high blood pressure and had the hot tub set to 110f (43c). They fell asleep after drinking heavily and never woke up. The autopsy officially said that they died of a combination of heart disease and alcohol poisoning. Having spent numerous hours drinking wine in a hot tub I can vouch for the fact that it is easy to forget how long you have been sitting there!
Phantom Time
556Charlemagne And Pope Adrian I
The Phantom time hypothesis is a theory developed by Heribert Illig (born 1947) in 1991, which proposes that there has been a systematic effort to make it appear that periods of history, specifically that of Europe during the Early Middle Ages (AD 614–911) exist, when they do not. Illig believed that this was achieved through the alteration, misrepresentation and forgery of documentary and physical evidence. He claims the presence of Romanesque architecture in the tenth century as evidence that less than half a millennium could have passed since the fall of the Roman Empire, and concludes that the entire Carolingian period, including the person of Charlemagne, is a forgery of medieval chroniclers, more precisely a conspiracy instigated by Otto III and Gerbert d’Aurillac.
Shoot me Please
Acropolis Athens Greece Ert-1
In 1821, the Ottoman empire occupied Greece. In the middle of one battle the Turks ran out of bullets and proposed to destroy the Acropolis to use the lead cores of its columns to make ammunition. When the Greeks got wind of this they gathered up their bullets and sent them to the Turks to use against themselves. This amazing (and as far as I can tell unverifiable) act was solely to protect the monument, which is of great importance to Greek culture. If it is true, thank God for those brave soldiers who helped make it possible for us to visit the Acropolis today.

Scenes From The Future...

I Have A Terrible Confession That I Want To Get off of My Chest - Please Don't Hate Me.

Ok, so here it goes, it has been a long time coming, but I just need to get it out there and let the chips fall where they may...I am addicted to Sizzurp.  It started innocently shortly after my idol, Justin Bieber started imbibing:

Some people call it "Purple Drank", or "Lean".  They are just not down with the latest terminology right my mamma jammas?

Anyways, I started with just Robitussin and sprite, but then I thought to myself, "I be jonesin' fo mo flava" so I added skittles to the mix.  It was a revelation ... for a while anyways....

I needed more flava, sprite was fizzy and sweet, but as I began to feel my liver squeal from the sizzurp I needed more flavor (sic).

I thought, If I could get more caffeine, more flava and perhaps add some tannin to mix, my world would be whole.. no longer would I feel the guilt of my white privilege, I might be able to commune with the schtruggle, maybe feel less guilty about having a job and being able to pay taxes for the more needy and unprivileged.

Then It came to me, tea would fit the bill, but the piece de resistance was watermelon ice tea.  Perfect!

One sip of this and I was immediately compulsed to download the T-pain autotune iphone app.  I will be the next great rapper, if i can only catch a break!

But anyways, I wanted to say stop dissing on my bro Trayvon, stop making him look like a skittles eating wimp, he was a righteous gangsta.  He was no wimp, he was rocking the sizzurp that night, just like me.

out yo.
